Josh Rosen Family Has A Long Line Of Standout Athletes Across Multiple Sports

Josh Rosen family is full of sports players and exceptional athletes. Rosen has two sisters Beatrice and Lydia.

His parents, Charles Rosen and Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Lippincott, raised three excellent sportspersons in Torrance, California. Josh is a professional American football player who plays as a quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL.

Lydia is a promising high school rower, while Beatrice plays tennis in college. Josh is the oldest of the three. He is a phenomenal player who the Arizona Cardinals selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft after a successful college career at UCLA.

Rosen has also played for other NFL clubs, such as the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, and Atlanta Falcons. For his season in the league, the 25-year-old young QB recently closed a deal with the Vikings on Tuesday, December 20. He has joined the practice squad.

Josh Rosen Family Has Produced Standout Athletes

Josh Rosen family has produced several outstanding players including him and his two siblings.

His dad, Charles, is a former ice skater, and his mother, Liz, used to be a quaker at Princeton in NCAA. Although his parents are not athletes at present, they both incorporated sports into their day-to-day life in the past. 

They raised all three of their kids to be fantastic athletes in multiple games.

In 2016, Rosen acknowledged being Jewish and having a bat mitzvah, saying that, in hindsight, he considered UCLA because he is Jewish. 

Besides, Josh has connections to major institutions, including the Wharton School and the J.B. Lippincott publishing business, due to his ancestral link. His great uncle Bertram Lippincott was a Princeton alum and his aunt Deborah is a former tennis player. Nils, Thomas, and Oscar, his three cousins, play squash at the Naval Academy and Penn.

All members of the Rosens, past or present, have some deep connections with sports, which they believe because their bloodline has inherited the skill and athleticism to master the field of sports.

Josh started playing at a very tender age, below ten. He began with Tennis, and by 12, he was the number 1 tennis player in his age group in Southern California and the top 50 in the nation.

Josh Rosen Parents Charles And Liz Are From California

Josh Rosen parents Charles Rosen and Liz Lippincott are from Torrance city in Los Angeles.

His father, Charles, is a born Jewish with a doctorate in surgery. He works as an orthopedic spine surgeon in a community hospital in the Torrance region. He has always been surrounded by controversy, which is one of the reasons he got thrown out of Obama’s shortlist of surgeons.

Meanwhile, his mother, Liz, is a retired journalist. She worked at Golfpro and Sportsstyle. Keeping their profession aside, both Rosen’s mom and dad were exceptional athletes back in their days. Charles was an international ice skater who missed the 1972 Winter Olympics by a whisker.

Likewise, Liz was playing as a quaker in NCAA leagues, being the skipper of the Princeton Tiger lacrosse team. However, at some point, both had to discontinue pursuing their dream career for personal reasons.

Josh is still close to his mom and dad despite the couple’s 2012 divorce. But since they both have solid but opposite political beliefs, he is not entirely happy with them.

Josh Rosen Sisters Beatrice And Lydia Are Both Athletes

Josh Rosen two sisters Beatrice and Lydia Rosen are talented collegiate athletes. Lydia rows while Beatrice plays tennis.

Beatrice and Lydia are both younger than him. According to Los Angeles Times, Beatrice played tennis while she was studying in her college at Emory University. She had a sensational collegiate career, having won all major tournaments and accolades.

She was victorious in NCAA DIII National Team Tennis Champion two times, earned DIII All-America honors twice, and got her name printed on the CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.

On the other hand, his youngest sister, Lydia, is on the Princeton University Women’s Rowing team. Before enrolling at the prestigious Princeton, she represented her high school team, Mira Costa High. She won the 2017 state rowing championship and Mathematics Department Award.

Lydia joined Princeton University in August 2019 but could not showcase her skills as the season was canceled due to the COVID outbreak. Apart from Rowing, she is currently in her third year majoring in Economics with credentials in Finance and Cognitive Science.

Twice, at various periods, she worked as an intern at Hodges Ward Elliott. Lydia worked there from June to August in the previous and current years. She knows financial modeling, investment sales, and project management.
