Whitney’s mother’s health was clearly in the spotlight in a season 10 sneak peek video released exclusively by People.
In the video, Whitney’s father, Glenn, tells her over the phone, “We’re taking your mother to the emergency room.” It’s scary.”
Whitney stated on camera, “I received a call from my father.” He informed me that my mother had suffered another stroke. “My heart fell out of my body.”Whitney is sobbing over her mother’s condition in the My Big Fat Fabulous Life trailer.
Whitney Thore is very close to her family and friends, as seen in My Big Fat Fabulous Life. The TLC starlet has a large fan base, so it’s no surprise that viewers adore her parents, Glenn and Barbara “Babs” Thore.
Still, a sneak peek at season 10 of MBFFL raises concerns about Whitney’s mother. During the Season 10 premiere on August 9, viewers got a closer look at Babs’ health problems.
Babs was admitted to the ICU following her stroke, where she was also confirmed for COVID-19 and developed a UTI.

Babs Thore Health Update – Is She OK?
Babs Thore had a stroke before, five years ago. However, during the last two years, when coronavirus was widespread, the Thore family complied with strict quarantines and protocols.

In the Season 10 trailer, Whitney learns that her mother has suffered a cardiac event. Babs is doing well and spreading her absolute fabulousness throughout the world.
Whitney posted on her Instagram to thank her fans and provide an update on Babs’ health. She wrote “Thank you to everyone who has reached out to support our family. I know I’ve been more quiet than usual on social media for the last six months.
We’ve all been focusing on helping my mother recover as much as possible. She lights up every time a fan approaches her and she smiled so big when I told her Season 10 was premiering tonight.”
Where Is Babs Thore Now?
Bab Thore was admitted to the ICU after a stroke, and she was eventually placed on a feeding tube. By the end of the show, things were still not looking good.
Because Babs did not qualify for rehab then, so a doctor advised Whitney and her family to start looking into palliative care for her.
Whitney had severe doubts about the doctor’s suggestion that her family considers removing her mother’s feeding tube.
Hopefully, Babs has recovered significantly from her most recent seizure since Season 10 shooting began.
