Jacob Malkoun is an Australian mixed martial artist who fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Middleweight category.
Malkoun began his martial arts training at the age of 16 when his father enrolled him in a local boxing class to help him shed some of his 115 kg rugby league prop’s build.
He now works with former UFC Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. He won the ADCC Asia 2019 trials and was a gold medallist in the 2019 Pan Pacific Games. He is also a pro boxer with a 3-0 record.
He was declared the winner by unanimous decision. On June 11, 2022, he will battle Brendan Allen at UFC 275.

On October 24, 2020, Malkoun made his UFC debut against Phil Hawes at UFC 254. He was knocked out 18 seconds into the first round.
On April 17, 2021, he fought Abdul Razak Alhassan at UFC on ESPN 22. He was declared the winner by unanimous decision. On February 12, 2022, he fought AJ Dobson at UFC 271.
Malkoun’s nickname “Mamba” is a tribute to the late NBA great Kobe Bryant. He teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Smeaton Grange Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Sydney.

Malkoun made his regional Australian debut in 2017, going 4–0 and winning his first fight against Cam Rowston at BRACE 47 by unanimous decision.
His next two fights, against Ryan Heketa at Hex Fight Series 17 and Christophe Van Dijk at Wollongong Wars 7, were both won by TKO. In his most recent fight on the regional scene, he won a unanimous decision over Sebastian Temesi at Eternal MMA 48.
