Born and raised in California, Madison recently celebrated turning 22 on December 8. The only child of Jake Shields, like her father, was into combat sports during her high school days.
In 2018, Madison shared a photo of her in a wrestling competition on her Instagram handle. The 22-year-old has not let go of her sporting passion since joining her college in 2019.
At California State University, she trained in Jiu-Jitsu and shared a photo with her grappling partner on March 1, 2020. And to improve her fitness, she also does weightlifting and has shared progress pictures with her 1.5k followers.
In the coming year, we will probably see her graduation ceremony pictures. Her Linkedin profile suggests that she will graduate from Long Beach University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Though Madison’s parents separated while she was still in school, the 22-year-old shares a healthy relationship with both of them. Jake wished Madison on her birthday by sharing a photo of their trip to Montana.
On her Instagram handle, the engineering student has previously shared pictures with her mother, who went on to tie the knot with her new partner in 2016.
