Oath Keepers teamed together with others to assist Clive Bundy, a rancher from Nevada who gained notoriety for avoiding paying taxes to the federal government.

He ended up speaking to reporters on behalf of the Oath Keepers, managing the group’s social media account and producing blog articles.
According to the Denver Post, as their publicist, he also had a number of conflicts with Rhodes, who forbade him from publishing viewpoints that he disagreed with, notably when Van Tatenhove wanted to express his support for the Supreme Court’s 2015 decision legalizing same-sex unions.
Upon hearing that his livestock would be subject to seizure by the government, Bundy appealed to armed Americans to stand by him.

He stated that he wishes to provide the committee with background information on this group’s history and the radicalization of its members. Van Tatenhove said on his podcast that he would be testifying before the committee.

The U.S. House committee looking into the Jan. 6 rebellion has held six public hearings so far, starting on June 9. Each hearing has included fresh information regarding the circumstances leading up to the attacks.
Members of the Justice Department had testified before the committee described Trump‘s relentless pressure to uncover proof of widespread election fraud in 2020, Capitol Police officers who dispersed Trump supporters, and some former White House staffers who described the former president’s alleged conduct in the hours preceding the riots.

Jason Van Tatenhove married, started a family, and opened a tattoo parlor in Fort Collins. In 2013, he closed the business and moved his family to Butte, Montana. He said he and his family wanted to learn more about farming and live in a more rural area.
Bundy appealed to armed Americans to assist him after the government threatened to seize his animals. The Oath Keepers, a group that was created in 2009, became well-known as a result of the incident when the government finally gave in.
Van Tatenhove was particularly critical of the militia organization after he left it. He used to agree with Rhodes that it was important to monitor the government, but he has now changed his mind.
