Katy Skerl was a teen 17 years old girl from Rome, Italy. She was brutally killed in January 1984 when he was 17.

Katy leaves the house with a duffel bag on Saturday, January 21, 1984, to attend a party. She arrives at a friend’s home in Largo Descartes with her brother, Marco, in tow.
After spending a few hours there before picking up her stuff once again and leaving to meet up with her friend Angela, with whom she would be spending the night. Katy was running late, and the meeting location was an hour away from where she was via public transportation. The two females had arranged to meet at the Lucio Sestio station, Rome.

Katy Skerl Died in Grottaferrata, Rome
A young woman’s body was found dead in a Grottaferrata vineyard, strangled with a bag’s strap and a fractured spine.
Her name is Katy Skerl, also known as Caterina. She attends Rome’s Liceo Artistico Giulio Romano and the Ponte Flaminio division of FGCI (the Italian Communist Youth Federation) and is the daughter of Peter Skerl.
Katy vanished without a trace, exactly as Emanuela Orlandi, a 15-year-old Vatican citizen, and daughter of a pontifical courier, did on June 22 of the same year and as Mirella Gregori. The latter, like Caterina, disappeared on a Saturday eight months prior. But their bodies have never been found, unlike Katy.

Her father, Peter Skerl, is an Italian-born Swiss artist who makes a career as a director. He collaborated closely behind the camera with Ingmar Bergman on The Shame and The Hour of the Wolf. By osmosis, he has adopted the master’s grim aesthetic, which the movie industry did not accept.
He left Rome in 1984, and his ex-wife and their kids, Marco and Caterina, moved in at 54 in Via Isidoro del Lungo. The family refers to her as “Katy,” and she studies at the Liceo Artistico on Via Giulio Romano. She is blond, attractive, and determined; at 17, she has already registered in the university.

Katy Skerl’s Coffin Disappeared Into Thin Air
Katy, born in 1967 and died inexplicably and horribly in 1984 at the age of 17, was a victim of a serial killer.

To hide a factor that the Skerl case’s connection to Orlandi’s, Fassoni Accetti presented an exhibit to the head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rome in September 2015 that referred to an alleged theft of Katy’s coffin.
A fictitious crew of cemetery workers deceitfully exhumed Skerl’s grave and stole the coffin containing her dead remains. A complex political plot hatched in her death relating to the two ‘kidnappings.’ Katty is still one of the three immortal girls lost in those years in the shadowy Rome.
