There are rumors that WSAV meteorologist Kris Allred has been arrested but the news hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Kris Allred is the Chief Meteorologist at WSAV News 3. She was the first female chief of the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry and is now the chief with the longest tenure in WSAV history.
Allred has reported on numerous significant weather incidents including historic storms. Kris’ first career was in the weather market in Omaha, Nebraska.
She spent three years there and knew every aspect of TV tornado coverage like the back of her hand.

Kris Allred from Savannah is not arrested, as there is no news about her arrest in the media, it may only be a rumor.

It is evident that Kris Allred has not been arrested and that the rumor is untrue because she just shared a photo of her children on her Instagram account a few hours ago.
Allred serves as the Chief Meteorologist for WSAV News 3 broadcasts and online platforms since 2007.
Kris served as a meteorologist with Pappas Telecasting Companies from December 2001 to October 2004. Later, Kris changed stations to WWMT-TV, a Kalamazoo, Michigan-based CBS-affiliated television station. Kris worked as a meteorologist and weather anchor for WWMT-TV.
From October 2004 to October of the following year, Allred had work as a meteorologist for Freedom Communications.
As of now, Kris, the meteorologist, serves as Chief Meteorologist for Media General, which is based in Savannah, Georgia. Additionally, Allred is a meteorologist and weather anchor for Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan’s WWMT-TV News Channel 3.

WSAV Meteorologist Kris Allred Charges
Since Kris Allred is not arrested the charges against her are not made. She doesn’t appear to be engaged in any activity that would lead her to an arrest and charges.
However, she shared a news story about an elderly couple who were discovered dead in their house in Bulloch County on her Facebook page. The couple passed away because the house didn’t have an air conditioner and it was probably above 100 degrees inside.

Kris is passionate about teaching kids about weather and science. At the age of 17, she knew she wanted to be a meteorologist.
She participated in the development of the well-liked WSAV series Weather Wise Kids, which features a local student’s weekly question on the air.
Additionally, she gives many weather lectures each year, speaking to audiences ranging in age from young children to senior citizens.
Kris is passionate about more than just the weather. She is also devoted to supporting the neighborhood. She has volunteered with the United Way, the Salvation Army, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the past ten years. She now has board positions with the American Red Cross and Savannah Arts Academy.
