Major General Maria Barrett is the three-star Lieutenant general of the United States Army who has been in the public service since 1988.

On May 3, 2022, Barett was appointed the commanding general of the United States Army Cyber Command and she has been serving the duty since then. Previously, she was the commander in chief of the Network Enterprise Technology Command located in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Barrett earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tufts University. Later she also obtained a Master of Arts in Telecommunications Management from Webster University followed by a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

After completing her education, Barrett's foremost priority was to join the US Army. In 1988, Barrett enrolled in the Army ROTC program and was handed a second lieutenant command in the American Army.

The Franklin, Massachusetts, local has expertise in commanding the company, battalion, and brigade levels. Barrett has served as the Deputy Director of Current Operations for J-3 at the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), the Deputy Commander (Operations) for the USCYBERCOM Cyber National Mission Force, and the Deputy Commanding General for Joint Force Headquarters.

Besides, she holds dual roles in the White House Communications Agency and the United States Southern Command as Chief Information Officer/Director, J-6 and J-3, respectively.

Barrett has worked in Army positions in various nations, including Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Republic of Korea. Operation New Dawn, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm are all campaigns she has served in.

In December 2015 and August 2018, Barrett received promotions to brigadier and major general, respectively. Moreover, she has also won various accolades and commendations such as Army Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, etc.

Maria Barrett was married to Brian T. Barrett. Mr. Barrett is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and served as a Signal Corps Officer during his youth.

The commanding general of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command, Maria, might be attending a meeting, learning about the latest developments at installations around the globe, or boarding a flight for Korea, Germany, or any other nation where the global command has operations on any given day. But her husband, Brian, will always be at their home waiting for her with food on the table.

She also claimed that when she has free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, kayaking, or skiing with her husband, retired Lt. Col. Brian Barrett. Maria recently finished reading the book "Ghost Wars."

After 30 years of service and holding various important leadership roles, including a term as deputy director of current operations, for United States Cyber Command, Barrett said she aims to retain a demeanor despite carrying a lot of responsibility.

Moreover, her parents were immigrants from Italy. Her mother, Clara Lodi, was an educator and teacher, while her father, Ruston Lodi, was the prestigious Silver Star World War II veteran.

U.S. Army Cyber Command general Maria Barrett has been arrested amid Trump's Mar-a-Lago investigation. A Marine officer speaks with Real Raw News "Her inexperience helped bring about her downfall." 

After finding that Barrett had misused her authority to introduce fake and misleading material into Trump's Mar-a-Lago computer system and plotted with FBI Director Christopher Wray, the U.S. military's White Hat division detained the Lieutenant general on August 29.

Following a JAG statement, Gen. Barrett placed a document with a fake signature of Trump into the Mar-a-Lago network on August 9, one day following the FBI's illegal raid on Trump's property.
