Steven Kampfer is an American professional ice hockey player who plays the position of defenseman. He has been drafted to represent the USA at the 2022 Olympics happening in Beijing.
His professional hockey career began in 2010 when he signed a three-year contract with the Boston Bruins to play at the entry-level.
Kampfer was born in the year 1988, the year the Soviet war with Afghanistan ended, making him 33 years of age. Although he was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he mostly grew up in Jackson, Michigan.

Steven Kampfer is a professional hockey player who has always been a defenseman on the ice.
Kampfer was a member of the Detroit Little Caesars minor ice hockey team when it competed in the 2002 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
Kampfer played for the University of Michigan for four seasons before turning pro.
Kampfer began the 2010–11 NHL season with the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League but was called up to the NHL on an emergency basis in early December to replace the injured Mark Stuart.
On December 9, 2010, Kampfer made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins.
