Peter Crouch Parents Were 21 Years Old When He Was Born And Moved To Asia Two Years After His Birth

Peter Crouch was born to parents, Jayne And Bruce Crouch, when they were 21 years old. His father, Bruce, uprooted their family and relocated to Singapore right after his birth.

After receiving a job in Southeast Asia, Bruce accepted a position with an advertising firm knowing it was an opportunity of a lifetime.

After nearly three years of stay in the South East country, his parents eventually made their way back to England after Bruce Crouch turned down the opportunity to take a job in Australia.

The Crouch family were avid Chelsea fans, and when he was younger, Peter went to a few Chelsea games with his parents. At ten years old, he started working as a ball boy at Stamford Bridge.

Crouch recently announced he and opera artist Paul Potts have collaborated on an album about football chants that will be released for Christmas.

Peter Crouch was born in a middle-class family to parents, Bruce and Jayne Crouch. His parents were in their early 20s and could not afford to send him to private school.

Though Peter was born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, he relocated with his family to Singapore after his father, Bruce Crouch, was offered a job in one of Singapore’s advertising agencies. The pay was good, so he could not reject the offer. Peter was barely two years old at that time.

According to his parents, the first word he spoke was in Mandarin. Once, when they went on a trip to Malaysia, the family were close to being kidnapped by the local Communist Party guerrillas.

After living in Singapore and working there for three years, they decided to return to England, where they were born and raised, to make a life for themselves there.

When they returned to London, their savings had run to the ground, and they could not afford to stay someplace nice. For six months, they stayed in a YMCA hostel on Tottenham Court Road.

The head of the creative and production agency Hatch London, Mark Gibson, was excited by Bruce’s arrival in the company. The same can be said for Peter’s father.

“I’m delighted to be joining the Hatch management team. A new type of agency where we see the whole job from strategy to TV production under one roof is an exciting prospect.”, Bruce said.

Peter Crouch Parents Were Chelsea Fans

Peter Crouch grew up in a family of Chelsea supporters. Both his father and mother were big fans of the London club.

They often took Peter to Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea play. And considering Peter’s interest in football, they decided to send him to the club. Crouch served as a ball boy at Chelsea Football club when he was around ten.

Despite his busy schedule, Bruce would always be there to watch Peter’s games. Peter’s father has always known about his ability to become someone great if he put in the hard work. On time, his father got tired of Peter in a training session for Tottenham’s junior team. After he kept shirking a tackle, Bruce left Peter at Hart Lane to find his way home.

Slowly he started to grow and develop the necessary skills to be a football player. His parents could not be more proud of what their son would be. Peter, since his childhood, was towering in height. Because of his tall physical attribute, he was bullied by opposition team members a lot.

More upsetting for his father, Bruce, who is just a few inches short of Peter, that he has been forced to make a concerted effort to control his anger while listening to his kid being labeled a “freak” on many football fields.
