Rafael and Diana fell in love while serving time in Puente Grande prison in 2010; the drug trafficker met his then 39-year-old significant other in prison; he saw her on television as part of a beauty contest held inside the jail in which she got crowned as the queen.

Aguilar got released before the drug lord in 2011, but she continued to visit her lover and planned to start a family after his release. Why Was Rafael Caro Quintero Arrested?

Rafael got arrested for allegedly taking the life of a Drug Enforcement Administration agent Enrique Camarena who was working undercover in Mexico in 1985.

Moreover, a few hours after he got detained, a Black Hawk helicopter crashed outside the nearby city of Los Mochis and killed 14 marines onboard; may their departed soul rest easy in paradise.

Quintero was placed on the F.B.I.’s ten most wanted list in 2018 for masterminding the killing of Camarena after he got released in 2013 on a legal technicality; he had been in the run ever since. But the drug trafficker finally got arrested as Mr. Garland said there’s no hiding place for anyone who kidnaps, tortures, and murders American law enforcement.
