McClain got an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Alabama, where he played football from 2007 to 2009 under head coach Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide. However, McClain decided to skip his senior year at Alabama and declare for the 2010 NFL Draft on January 11, 2010, just a few days after Alabama won the BCS National Championship.

He received a Crohn’s disease diagnosis while he was a senior in high school, but subsequent tests seemed to show that it was an incorrect diagnosis.

In connection with a shooting on December 1, 2011, McClain was detained by Decatur police and charged with third-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm inside the city boundaries, all of which are misdemeanors.

On May 17, 2012, McClain was found guilty on all counts, given a $2,000 total fine for all charges and a 45-day jail sentence for each. He was taken into custody by Decatur Police on January 8, 2013, in Morgan County, following a traffic stop for an infraction involving a window tint. After giving the officer a fake name, McClain was detained and lodged in the Decatur City Jail.

On August 2, 2016, it was revealed that McClain had developed a codeine addiction after ingesting the concoction known as purple drank. McClain had been suspended in June 2016 for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. He was detained on May 12, 2017, the Hartselle Police Department reports, for possessing a handgun, drugs, and equipment violations.

Charges And Case Update

The Moulton Police Department reports that Rolando McClain was stopped for speeding on Highway 157. According to authorities, an officer could smell marijuana emanating from McClain’s car as he approached it. This gave them a reason to search the car.

McClain informed police that a pistol was in the car when he was asked to exit the vehicle. McClain claimed that he did not own the firearm. According to the police, McClain did not possess a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

When police inspected the vehicle, they discovered some marijuana concealed inside a chewing tobacco pouch. As a result, McClain was accused of speeding, having marijuana in the second degree, and having a concealed firearm without a permit.

He has already proved his capability and worth in the field, but in real life, he still seems lost without purpose as he often does stupid activities kike this and strangles himself in danger.
