Stuart Fairchild Parents Mimi Fairchild And Todd Fairchild Have Asian And American Origins

Stuart Fairchild parents Mimi and Todd Fairchild have mixed ethnic origins. Stuart is Taiwanese from his mom and American from his dad.

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Stuart was raised alongside his younger brother. He grew up as a Mariners fan, and his mother always attended all his games, no matter how far she had to travel.

In 2017, Mimi traveled 2.4 k miles to see her son play for his college team, Wake Forest, in North Carolina. A business analyst turned application test specialist, Mimi was happy to see her son return to Reds in June. 

It was certainly an eventful year for Stuart, who began the year as a Mariners player and was then traded to Giants only to return to his first MLB team. 

Unlike many couples who are in the corporate world and force their child to enter into the same industry, Todd and Mimi were different from the rest. 

Supportive of his son’s baseball career, Todd has been a successful attorney in his field for the past 23 years. In one of his Instagram posts, Stuart even called out his dad for having a weak tan game.

In the past, the father-son duo also enjoyed going on fishing trips with Stuart proudly posting one of their catches on his social media handle.

Stuart Fairchild mom Mimi Fairchild has Taiwanese roots and is a graduate of Indiana University.

Mimi is a business analyst at T-Mobile. Before working for T-Mobile, she held the same position at K&L Gates for four months in 2010.

As a mother of two sons, she was pretty much hands-on with her son’s development as a baseball player.

After the Reds drafted Stuart in 2017, a fan shared a sweet message on the fan-run website. The user wrote that seeing Stuart drafted has given hope to his grandson, who is half Cambodian, that he could even be a part of MLB.

Since 2020, Mimi has taken a break from her work as she previously worked as an Application Test Specialist for Farmers New World Life Insurance Company. She served in her position for seven years. 

On Twitter, she is available with the username @mimi_fairchild, where she regularly retweets and tweets about her son’s performance clips. 

After her son rejoined Cincinnati Reds in June, Mimi tweeted the lyrics of the famous John Denver song as the Reds welcomed Stuart back to their side. 

Stuart has shared several photos of his mother on his Instagram handle, with the outfielder posting tribute posts for her repeatedly. After all, she has been his biggest supporter for all these years.

Stuart Fairchild father Todd Fairchild has served as an attorney for Dorsey & Whitney for the past 23 years. Todd is a graduate of St Lawrence University.

Todd later joined Vanderbilt University Law School in 1983 to earn his law degree. He specializes in the field of law cases against intangible assets. 

The Seatle native is also an expert in real estate and consumer protection. Stuart’s paternal grandfather, Bruce Fairchild, was a former Hilton Head Island council member.

Bruce served for the US Army Air Corps during World War II before working at Hilton for four years. In a newspaper clip published after Bruce’s demise in 2015, Todd spoke highly of his father.

He said it was his father’s passion to serve the public, and Bruce was even responsible for setting aside properties for environmental conservation. So it was his father who inspired Todd to serve the public.

Growing up, Todd raised his son as a Mariner fan and seeing his son wear the jersey of Mariner earlier this year certainly would have made Todd’s dreams come true. 

Though he didn’t see his son play a single game for Mariners, Todd would have been much happier after his son hit his first MLB home run against the Yankees wearing the red jersey of Cincinnati.
