On September 2022, when Travis suffered a knee injury that made him unable to play, his dad and mom were deeply concerned and asked friends and family to pray for his recovery.

Travis, Trey, and Tevin played football together since they were kids. Trey Valot recalls always having to play it easy on his youngest brother, “We couldn’t hit him too hard because he was the youngest one, I guess that’s where he gets his toughness from.”

Keith himself was also a footballer back in his days. He played football for Dillard High in Fort Lauderdale. His son Travis fulfills his dad’s dream of playing in the NFL. Their dad was the one who coached them and sparked a life-long interest in the sport.

Travis played against his brother Tevin in 2016 when Travis’s former team Miami hosted Tevin’s FAU, having the brothers line up against each other. “Just finally having a moment they’ve waited for, they’ve been thinking about is great. I don’t really want to see them taking each other’s heads off, but that’s the mom in me”, commented Karri Valot just before the game.

Dad Keith, being a former footballer himself, was a primary motivation for the boys to pursue the grotesque sport that is American football. Their mom, a dentist, supported them in every step of their journey.
