Tress Way Wife Brianna Turang Is An Athlete Turned Nurse

Tress Way wife Brianna Turang is a former softball athlete at the University of Oklahoma and has now turned her attention towards the medical field. 

Standing at 5ft 6, Turang played in the outfield for her softball team and graduated from Santiago High School, where she was a four-year letter winner not only for softball but also for soccer. 

The list of honours that Brianna Turang won as an athlete at Oklahoma and Santiago is as lengthy as it could be. The daughter of two athletes, Carrie and Brian Turang, Brianna grew up alongside four siblings.

At Santiago High School, she led her side to an invincible season in 2007-08 and had back-to-back CIF Championships in 2005 and 2006. She was named twice as an All-CIF player. 

As a soccer player, Brianna was a three-time honoree in high school. In 2007, she was part of the Olympic Development Program State Team and led her soccer team to National Cup Championship. 

At the University of Oklahoma, she won the national championship in softball and was named to the 2013 All-Big 12 in her senior year. She also played four years of soccer at the University of Oklahoma. While developing herself as a player, she also developed herself as a leader.

She would organize softball drills and manage the daily routines and transportation of campers and was also responsible for their safety. Along with winning various honors as an athlete, Brianna continued pursuing her pre-nursing program at the University of Oklahoma.

After graduating with a degree in multidisciplinary studies from Oklahoma, Brianna continued her nursing degree at Oklahoma City University Kramer School of Nursing. 

Currently, Brianna works as a pediatric oncology nurse at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. She is available on Instagram with the username @brianna.way and is also a huge believer in Christianity. 

Brianna Turang is not the only athlete in her family with all the other six family members being involved in various sports. 

Brianna’s father, Brian Turang, is a former outfielder of the Seattle Mariners, having made his MLB debut in 1993. But it was a short-lived baseball career in MLB, which ended a year later in 1994 with having hit one home run against Jimmy Key of the New York Yankees.

He was a graduate of Loyola Marymount Univerisity and spent most of his collegiate baseball career with Harwich Mariners in Cape Code Baseball League. Her mother, Carrie Turang, like her, was a softball player at Long Beach State. 

Brianna has three sisters, Carissa, Cabria and Bailee, who have all played either softball or soccer in their university days. Carissa attended Southern Miss and was on their softball team.

Cabria Turang is a former player of the University of Utah and was a redshirt junior on their soccer team. Like her sister, Cabria attended Santiago High School and, in her last season in 2015 at Utah, starred in midfield, scoring two goals. 

Bailee Turang played as an outside hitter for her softball team and was named to All-CCA Central Region Second Team and a star player for Southern Nazarene University. Like her older sister, Bailee and Carissa have pursued nursing degrees. 

The only son of the Turang family, Brice Turang, 23, is a shortstop for Milwaukee Brewers and continued the family legacy of graduating from Santiago High School. He is one of the highly sought prospects in baseball, having signed for the Brewers for $3.4 million.

Brian has high hopes for his son and has already said he is way better than him at the same age. 

Tress Way and Brianna Turang relationship began while they were college athletes finding their feet in their respective careers.

Brianna made her love for Tress public in 2012 as she posted a picture of the two attending the marriage ceremony of their friend Whitney Hand and Landry Jones. And after, she continued to post barrages of their images together, even complimenting her future husband’s smile in one of them.

The NFL player would leave his girlfriend sweet notes with Brianna sharing one of them on her Instagram handle. Tress wrote, “I’m crazy about you. Like big time. You’re awesome and absolutely beautiful.” Getting sweet notes like that certainly made Brianna fall head over heels for her partner. 

Tress was also seen rocking The Sooners jersey and cheering for his girlfriend in her softball games. The couple would post tributes for each other on their respective Instagram handles on game days and on special occasions. 

Within a year of dating, the two got engaged in June 2013. Brianna shared the news of her engagement with a collage of photos on her Instagram handle, which also shows Brian going down on one knee.

The couple had a photoshoot six months before their wedding, with Brianna holding a cutout of her hometown of California and Tress holding that of Oklahoma.

The couple tied the knot on July 6, 2014, which Tress shared on his Instagram handle. This also remains the last post the Washington Commanders player shared on his Instagram handle, as he has been inactive since on the photo-sharing website. 

2014 also marked the year that Tress joined Washington Commanders and made his much-awaited NFL debut. The couple adopted two labrador puppies, Tego and Marley, who prepared them for what would come four years later.

Brianna Turang and Tress Way are parents to three kids having welcomed a set of twins four years into their marriage.

In November 2017, the pair announced they were going to be parents to a set of twins, with their pet labradors also joining in the announcement photo. On April 14, 2018, Brianna shared the photos of the twins, Beau and Harper, on her Instagram handle, assuring that the twins were healthy and ready to be brought home.

The two were only four months old when they first traveled to FedEx Field to cheer for their father’s team. They became frequent visitors as their father became an integral part of the Washington Commanders. 

For Halloween 2019, the Way family dressed up as Stars Wars characters, and a month later, Brianna and Tress announced they would have another addition to their family. 

On April 25, 2020, the twins welcomed their younger sister, Hadley Way, to the family, who soon started attending the Washington Commanders games. Little Beau has also started training with his father, and one day we might see him in NFL. 

And in one of the photos shared by Brianna, her daughter, Harper, stood in a sign that said she wanted to be a doctor. Little Hadley has not shared what she wants to be as she is busy taking naps and enjoying her free time before she joins school next year.
