Who Is Elin Ey? Meet The Systur On Eurovision 2022 Grand Final
Elin Ey began playing the guitar at a young age and began writing her own music after being reared by parents who are well-known artists in the Icelandic music industry.
Elin started a project with her sisters, Elsabet and Eln Eyórsdóttir, and musician Oculus after a few years of performing as a singer-songwriter in Iceland and around the world.
Their band Sisy Ey released a few popular singles and played festivals such as Sonar Barcelona, Stockholm and Reykjavik, Glastonbury, and Eurosonic, to name a few, as well as collaborating with artists such as John Grant, Hercules and Love affair, and Kasper Bjorke.
Who Is Elin Ey?
Elin Ey has been working on her solo EP for the past few years, which she recently released. The record was produced by her brother, Bleache, and their father, Mezzoforte’s pianist Eythors Gunnarsson, who plays piano and keyboards, and Beta, their sister, who harmonizes.
Elin describes the record as a blend of her familiar folky culture and the electronic world she encountered with Sisy Ey, representing the result as “sad RnB.”
The release of ‘Gone’ appears to have cleared the way for Eln to experiment with these varied styles and concepts. There’s a genuine feeling of relief in her voice that the song has finally been published.
Elin holds herself and her work to exceptionally high standards. She explains that ‘Gone’ was supposed to be a whole album, but she cut it down to a five-track EP days before its release because she “wasn’t happy with everything.”

What Is Elin Ey Age?
Ellin Ey appears to be in her twenties to thirties, based on her photos. Ellin, on the other hand, has kept her age a secret.
Elin is forming a band and preparing for live gigs this summer, in addition to the imminent release of new tracks. Eln Ey appears to have returned, and she plans to stay this time.
Elin Ey Ethnicity & Origin Revealed
Eln Ey is a musician of Icelandic origin who grew up in Reykjavik.
Elin’s mother is the singer Ellen Kristjánsdóttir, and her father is Mezzoforte’s composer and keyboardist Eyór Gunnarsson. Elin and her sister are in a band named Sisy Ey.
However, the sisters had been performing as part of the band Ss Ey, which was named after their grandmother, since 2011. The group has released numerous albums and has performed at the Glastonbury Festival.

Elin Ey Systur Elísabet Eyþórsdóttir & Sigriður Eyþórsdóttir Details
Sisters Sigrur, Elsabet, and Eln Eyórsdóttir compose the Icelandic band Systur, also known as Sigga, Beta & Eln, and formerly Tripolia. After winning the Icelandic national selection Söngvakeppnin 2022, they represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with the song “Me haekkandi sól.”
Previously, the sisters collaborated with DJ Frifinnur “Oculus” Sigursson, with whom they created the house band, Sisy Ey, in 2011.
The group, also known as “Sigga, Beta & Eln,” was founded in 2017 and released its first single, “Bounce from the Bottom,” in the same year.
