The 6 feet 1-inch tall athlete formerly played Super Rugby for the Stormers and Currie Cup and Rugby Challenge for Western Province.
Augustus is a Cape Town native, having graduated from Tygerberg High School and representing Western Province at the U18 Academy Week before attending the Western Province Rugby Institute after school.
Augustus was picked for the Junior Springbok team in 2016 after impressing for Western Province U19. That year, he was crowned World Rugby U20 Championship Player of the Tournament after scoring seven tries in Georgia.
He earned his senior Western Province debut in 2017 and made his Stormers debut later that year.
