Sports, especially football, have been a significant part of the Bordelon family. He played the game professionally before he took responsibility as the President and CEO of Bollinger Shipyards. Similarly, his kids have pursued careers in football.

Benjamin Bordelon is a former American football player who played offensive tackle for the San Diego Chargers in 1997. He was a starter for four seasons as both an offensive guard and a tackle for the LSU Tigers football team while he was a college player. He was named to the second team of the Southeastern Conference as a senior in 1996.

He is also a chairman of the shipbuilders’ Council of America and has been a part of the executives for Bollinger Shipyards for the past two decades.

Brooke Bordelon quickly identified her thanks to the power of social media and  tweeted, “It would be my mum.”

Gemi, who instantly rose to fame, first rose to prominence after marrying the San Diego Chargers offensive tackle. She is active on social many social media platforms. 

She has an account on Facebook under the username @Gemi Gremillion Bordelon. However, the mother of three has not posted anything recently. 

Moreover, she is active on Instagram under the username @realgemibordelon with nearly three thousand followers. However, she has only one post on this platform, her viral dance video from 2020.

Ben Bordelon has enjoyed his married life with Gemi Bordelon.

The couple settled in San Diego during the 48-year-old’s playing career and then relocated to Washington, DC, where he continued his career outside the sports.

According to his LinkedIn profile, the former player Bordelon resided in Raceland, Louisiana with Gemi, and their three children. However, his kids have now started their careers and live separately.

They have been together for over three decades and welcomed three kids into their family. The couple’s kids have been very successful in their respective careers.

Brooke graduated from E. D. Catholic High School on June 29, 2020. She is busy cheering her brothers during their matches when she is not traveling with her husband.

Son Bo Bordelon

Bo Bordelon is the eldest son of the Bordelon family. He is currently committed to LSU. 

The 6’6″ plays as an Offensive Line for his team. He was one of the best tackles in Louisiana for the Class of 2022 and played the final two seasons at Newman in New Orleans after transferring from E.D. 

Bo helped Newman to back-to-back appearances in the Louisiana Division III state semifinals in 2020 and 2021. He was rated a four-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals and three-stars by 247sports.

Moreover, he was the Number 27 prospect state-wide and 45 in the nation by 247sports. He was also named to the 2022 Under Armour All-America game roster.

Brett Bordelon is the youngest member of the family to join football as a career path. He grew up playing with his brother Bo. 

He played the offensive tackle for his high school, Isidore Newman. Brett, a four-star offensive lineman, made his commitment to play football at LSU public through Instagram.

Bordelon is a four-star prospect at Isidore Newman in New Orleans at 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds. Brett joins four-star cornerback Jaylen Bell as the second athlete to commit to LSU’s 2025 recruiting class. He also had offers from Alabama and Georgia.
