Ishe Smith and his wife, Valarie Lopez, are parents to six children. He was previously married to wife Latoya Woolen.

Out of the six kids Ishe and Valaried parent, five of them are from their previous marriages.

The veteran boxer, Ishe Smith, had previously married a childhood friend and had three kids with her before their divorce. The divorce came after a series of struggles in the boxing ring and a change in attitude of Smith that destroyed their marriage.

Smith then found his current wife, Valarie, at the bleakest moment in his career and life, and the two were able to find solace in each other. But in 2017, the boxer was taken back after the murder of his first wife, Latoya.

And last night, the boxer received a letter, which he shared on his social media handle, stating the murder of his first wife had requested compassionate release.

Latoya Woolen and Ishe Smith had started their marriage on a happy note. The boxer, who at the time was in his early 20s, was a star on the rise. Booked and busy won’t be the wrong term to be used for the boxer who was reaching closer than ever to stardom.

Latoya was also the mother of Ishe’s first three children and the couple was living a happy married life. But that was until 2004, before Ishe’s downfall began.

One fight with Randall Bailey was enough to destroy Smith’s career, leaving him wandering the boxing wilderness for years. He declared bankruptcy in 2004 and then began his marriage turmoil.

The couple divorced in the mid-2000s, with Ishe fighting for the custody battle of his kids. Ishe says he does share the blame for the marriage woes, as the failure in the boxing ring turned him into a person with a short temper.

Witnesses present at the murder scene said to the police that it looked like Latoya was waiting for a ride. The boxer said the demise of his first wife was the most painful thing he had ever experienced.
