Lisa Sthalekar is an Australian cricketer adopted by her parents, Sue Sthalekar And Haren Sthalekar. Lisa came to the family when she was a child.
She was originally from Pune, India, and was born to his biological parents. However, Lisa’s biological parents were not financially able to nurture and maintain her, so they decided to leave her in the care of Shreevatsa.
Shreevatsa is a charity-run child foster home and care facility in Pune, west Maharastra. At Shreevatsa, Lisa was found by her adoptive parents, Sue and Haren Sthalekar, who were on a brief trip through India at the time. They brought her home to the United States.
Her parents subsequently relocated to Sydney, Australia, where she spent most of her formative years, where she received her schooling, and where she went on to become a great player for the Australian cricket team.

Lisa Sthalekar’s parents, Sue and Haren Sthalekar, are of mixed ethnicity. Her father, Haren, is of Indian origin, while her mother, Sue, is from England.
Her adoptive mother and father, Haren Sthalekar and Sue Sthalekar, were both happily married and living in the United States of America.
Haren was born in Bombay, India. Her adoptive father moved to the United States when he was a little boy. Meanwhile, her mother, Sue, was English, born and raised in England.
Back then, they already had one kid together, but they hoped to grow their family with the addition of a son by having another child. Because of this, they traveled to India and immediately started looking for a boy to adopt into their family.
After doing some research on the city’s orphanage, the couple decided to go there with their elder daughter to complete their family of four by adopting a boy. But unfortunately, Lisa’s parents were no unable to find a boy.
A newborn girl was left behind on August 13, 1979, close to the entrance of an orphanage in Pune known as the “Srivatsav Orphanage.” Nobody knew who the parents were. Someone just tossed the infant and ran away after doing so. On the other hand, the orphanage administrator gave this little girl the name “Laila.”
Sue and Haren had been looking for a boy child the whole time but could not locate one, so returning to the United States empty-handed was a bit of a disappointment.
However, when Shreevatsa’s director advised them they have a look at Lisa, Sue immediately fell in love with her, and they decided to adopt her after that instantly.

Because Lisa’s biological parents could not care for her, they gave her up for adoption to Shreevatsa, an orphanage affiliated with Sassoon Hospital in Pune.
During the festival of Vijayadashami, in October 1973, the Shreevatsa child care center was officially opened. Between 1974 and 2009, 2574 of the country’s orphans were successfully placed in homes via legal adoption.
Lisa was only three years old when Sue and Haren adopted her from Shreevatsa. When Sue looked into her huge, brown eyes, she was smitten, and they quickly concluded that they should adopt her.
Her parents then renamed her Lisa from Leila. Sthalekar’s family took the newborn child back to the United States. Before finally deciding to make their home in Sydney, the family relocated to Kenya so that Haren could carry out his duties as a Christian missionary in that country.
Lisa said that her life had transpired incredibly lucky for her, mainly when she went to the Shreevatsa orphanage and saw the conditions there. She also felt sorry for those who are as fortunate as her.
When Lisa was a child, her father, Haren, introduced her to the game of cricket. They played in their backyard. She validated her claim that she was an expert in the field. Her father decided to train his daughter to become a well-known cricketer on a global level so that she could take advantage of the fact that cricket is the most popular sport in India.

Lisa Sthalekar biological parents left her at childcare near the hospital after she was born there.
They could not provide for her due to financial instability and gave her to Shreevatsa, an orphanage affiliated with Sassoon Hospital in Pune.
When Lisa returned to India in March 2012, she visited the orphanage facility where her biological parents had left her. She was deeply affected by how many children are abandoned in that facility, and she realized that not all of them will have the good fortune to grow up and prosper as she did.
The 43-year-old former cricket player went to his home country to complete her autobiography. While visiting Shreevatsa, the director of that facility asked her if she wished to find her biological parents. Lisa paused for a while, took a deep breath, and her mouth whispered, “NO.”
She was adopted by another parent from the US, Sue and Haren, three weeks after her birth. They returned to the US with Lisa, then to Kenya, and finally settled in Australia. Rising through the ranks in cricket, she became the captain of the Australian cricket team, which she is very proud of.
Lisa feels truly blessed to have a good life. Light of the fact that she was brought up in the United States, Kenya, and Australia by caring parents, that those same parents gave her every chance to succeed in sports, and she now has the good fortune to travel the globe. But what moved her was so many kids there would not get what she had.
