Amal Fashanu Parent’s Inspiration To Fight For LGBTQ Rights
Fashanu is a campaigner rooting for LGBTQ community in Football, and her parents seem to have inspired her to fight for such rights.
The television presenter founded a Sports Foundation in Honour of her late uncle Justin Fashanu, an English footballer and proud gay athlete who played for various clubs between 1978 and 1997.
However, Justin took his own life after a 17-year-old claimed that the athlete assaulted him after a night of drinking in March 1998. Following the investigations and arrest warrant, he fled to England from the United States and hung himself in a deserted lock-up garage in Fairchild Place, Shoreditch, London.
Fashanu denied the charges and revealed he evanesced because he felt his homosexuality would not get a fair trial and didn’t want to be an embarrassment to friends and family. Thus, Amal promised her uncle to support gay players until there was representation in football’s top tier.
The story of the late footballer must have encouraged her to fight for LGBTQ rights and against racism in sports. The activist doesn’t want to miss out on the players with great potential to become the next Cristiano Ronaldo just because he belongs to the LGBTQ+ community and doesn’t want to come out.

Amal appears to be single as she hasn’t posted any pictures of walking down the aisle with her lover, let alone she hasn’t disclosed the identity of her partner.
The television presenter has remained very private when sharing information about her love life and internal matters; thus, she hasn’t introduced her sweetheart to the media.
She hasn’t made any posts on her social media platforms that hint at her dating life; she has shared 194 attachments on her verified Instagram account @amalfashanu while sharing her way of living to 121k followers.

Thus, we are unsure if the journalist is in a live-in relationship with her beau or searching for the perfect man who would love her unconditionally while accepting her flaws. Hopefully, the activist will open up more about her relationship and marital status to keep her admirers updated on her lifestyle.
