Andy Halliday brother Robbie Halliday is a football coach. Robbie coaches the Under 20 team of Open Goal Broomhill FC.

Andy was born as one of the two sons of Colin Halliday and Lynne Halliday, on the 11th of October 1991, in Glasgow, Scotland.

Both Hallidays grew up playing in the streets of Copland Road, and the footballer also shared got a brother who plays Junior football in Glasgow Times. However, Robbie is a semi-professional footballer who played for clubs including Dalry Thistle, Clydebank & Kilbirnie Ladeside. 

He has been a manager since 2019 and has worked with Thistle Weir Youth Academy for three and a half years before being appointed as the Open Goal Broomhill Under 20’s head coach.

Likewise, as per his LinkedIn profile, Halliday previously worked as a football coach at Thistle Weir Youth Academy from January 2019 to May 2022.

Moreover, the football coach has over nine years of experience working at BAE Systems, Inc., in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.

At BAE Systems, he served as a pipefitter from 2013 till he got promoted to project controller in 2018, detail planner in 2019, and senior detail planner in 2022. He is also active on Twitter under the handle @RobbieHalliday3

In addition, the duo appeared on the ‘Open Goal – Football Show’ podcast in October 2022 and shared their story.

Andy Halliday Family Life

Andy Halliday is one of the two sons of the Halliday household. He grew up with his mom, dad, and sibling.

Halliday is also related to Garry Halliday, the Foundation of Hearts director. Garry is the cousin of Andy’s father, and he has followed the athlete’s career since he began playing for Livingston and went to a couple of games.

Likewise, he also received unconditional love and support from his grandfather Jack Taylor. Jack followed him to his every match, but he continued supporting his grandson from home after he started playing in England.

Andy Halliday Parents Are Colin Halliday And Lynne Halliday

Andy Halliday was born to his parents, Colin Halliday and Lynne Halliday on the 11th of October 1991 in Scotland.

Lynne was a football fan long before her children were born, and Andy’s first Rangers game was an Old Firm game.

Furthermore, she almost had her son at Parkhead. 

Had the footballer been born at Parkhead, his dad would have gone mad, shared Andy. Furthermore, his mother would name him Mark after Mark Hateley since he scored double the day he was born but went with his current name. The athlete is also thankful that his parents gave him a different tag as he is not a fan of Mark being his first name.
