Inside Brandon Nakashima Married Life As He Showcases Some Real Talent In The US Open

At the recent US Open, Brandon Nakashima set another victory, securing his position in round two. Nakashima, 21, enrolled at the University of Virginia in January 2019 after graduating from High Bluff Academy in San Diego a semester early.

Nakashima finished the season with a 17-5 singles record and a 20-3 doubles record while a student at UVA. He was named the ACC Freshman of the Year, made the All-ACC First Team, and was a member of the All-ACC Academic Team after the season. He decided to skip the remaining years of eligibility and go pro after just one semester.

For the first time, Nakashima reached the 2022 French Open, losing to Alexander Zverev in the third round of a Grand Slam event. He defeated Daniel Elahi Galan at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships to advance to the fourth round for the first time in his career. He fell to the eventual runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a close five-set match.

Nakashima made his World TeamTennis debut in 2020 with the Chicago Smash for their inaugural season of World TeamTennis. In addition to dominating singles matches for the Smash, Nakashima and Rajeev Ram also played men’s doubles together throughout the season, which helped Chicago secure the No. 2 seed in the WTT Playoffs.

In the tournament, the Smash advanced to the championship game by defeating the Orlando Storm, but in the end, was defeated by the New York Empire in a Supertiebreaker.

Currently, he just made a wonderful record in the US Open as he cruised to his first-ever round 3. It was a massive win against Grigor Dimitrov. The news says it all as the world’s third-ranked player, Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, was defeated by American Brandon Nakashima, ranked 49, in the second round of play on court 17.
