Brendan Loughnane, who is set to clash for $1 million in the PFL Featherweight World Championship this Friday, revealed his first-ever earnings as a fighter was £150 when he made his bout debut in 2008.

And he pointed out there has been little increase in payment compared to other sports. Loughnane's issue was that he was not given an increase in his salary when the postseason began, even though he had already been paid for the previous two rounds of the playoffs.

According to MMA Fighting, Brendan Loughnane is among the highest-paid MMA fighter, with his earnings ranging from $150,000 to $170,000. Likewise, his PFL final American combatant Bubba Jenkins makes $98,000 a year.

Because the vast majority of sports commissions no longer see the need to disclose payment details to the public, salaries are only rarely made accessible to people these days.

Similarly, Kayla Harrison, the highest-paid female PFL fighter at the moment, makes $124,850 a year from professional bouts, which are very minimal compared to other sports.
