Photos: British tennis player Cameron Norrie has a leg tattoo that has an interesting story behind it. 

The World’s No. 10, Cameron Norrie has made it to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. He is just the fifth British tennis player to reach the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in the open era. 

The 26-year-old beat Tommy Paul comfortably with the sets of 6-4, 7-5, and 6-4. This is the first time Norrie will be playing in a Wimbledon QF. He is also the first British since Andy Murray in 2017.

Cameron Norrie has a “not-so-common” tattoo on his left leg. 

The print looks like a far side cartoon panel with a cactus and its shadow in the background. It is a tattoo of a cactus. 

When asked about it, Cameron said that it was a reminder of his first win in the Los Cabos Open in July 2021. Before the tournament, he walked past a big cactus and thought of getting a cactus tattoo if he won. And guess what, he won. So, he decided to get the tattoo. 

As his tattoo has a shadow of the cactus as well, Norrie joked about it being a reminder of his Indian Wells win as well. But if he wins Wimbledon, a cactus tattoo won’t probably suffice. 

What Happened To Cameron Norrie’s Face And Hair? 

A lot of fans keep asking if there’s anything wrong with Cameron Norrie’s face, especially his hair. 

The tennis player has black hair with a kind of silver stripes. He is often seen readjusting his hair during the game as well, which has probably led fans to wonder. 

Just so anyone’s wondering, Cameron didn’t do any face surgery that we are aware of.

Cameron Norrie’s Parents And Ethnicity: Is He English Or Scottish?

Cameron Norrie was born to a Scottish father, David, and a Welsh mother, Helen. So, he comes from Scottish-Welsh ethnicity but definitely not English. 

Moreover, he was born in Johannesburg, South Africa but his parents relocated to New Zealand when he was young. Growing up in Auckland, he found passion in tennis and represented New Zealand as a junior. 

However, the financial drawbacks restricted him and Norrie decided to get back to England. He relocated to London and started representing England professionally in 2017.
