He was born in Idumota, Lagos Island, Lagos State, in May 1972. In the early 1980s, Dejo began performing in high school when he joined the entertainment society (a school theatrical club) and performed in a few stage plays.
He began his schooling at the Ansar-Ud-Deen elementary school in Lagos State’s Lagos Island neighborhood, where Dejo received his First School Leaving Certificate.
