The Dutch professional cyclist Dylan Groenewegen is a 29-year-old road racer from Amsterdam who currently represents UCI WorldTeam Team BikeExchange- Jayco.
The cyclist has already won one team time trial stage and the other four individual Tour de France stages. He is currently on the news for the recent accident he almost met during the tournament, recalling the previous fatal accident he went through.

In a recently held event- Denmark’s third stage of the Tour de France, Dylan Groenewegen emerged victorious. The man landed a frantic finish to the 182km stage from Vejle, in which Dylan just prevailed over yellow jersey holden Wout van Aert, Jasper Philipsen, and Peter Sagan as the Danish Grand Depart came to a spectacular conclusion.
As it was his first victory since 2019 and an overall sixth, Groenewegen rode the wheels and passed Sagan and Van Aert. Despite being in the proper location at the crucial moment, Dylan said he was delayed by a late crash that divided the race just over 10 kilometers from the finish line.

In his words, “It was a long way (back). I want to say thank you to my team and my family and friends for getting me back to the Tour in good shape. it’s beautiful.”
For his victory, he further added, “Not physically but mentally it’s been a hard time of course after all that happened. This is for my wife and son, it means a lot.”

Cyclist Was Injured In A Crash Before
The man was full sensitive about his victory as two years ago, Dylan collided with Fabio after which Fabio Jakobsen won the victory as an emotional claim. Following the collision, Jakobsen spent two days in a coma, and Jumbo-Visma’s Groenewegen was suspended until May 2021.
Fabio on Saturday claimed to complete his recovery from the life-threatening injuries Dylan sustained in the Tour of Poland in 2020. Even though he physically recovered from that event, Groenewegen talked of the mental wounds left after receiving criticism and death threats in its aftermath.

Not only that but, the UCI also gave him a nine-month suspension as mentioned above. This recent victory, therefore, meant a lot for him and he expressed his gratitude after finishing that end line.
The Dutchman lives in Rivierenbuurt with his wife and a child. His wife Nine Storms calls herself Mrs. Groenewegen and is the owner/founder of the Groenewegen coffee stop.
The couple has a gorgeous son named Mayson and Nina on her Instagram bio has written “Mommy of Mayson.” As of 2022, the net worth of Dylan Groenewegen is estimated to be approximately 1.5 million USD.
