The second child of Lisa and Ed has been credited to be the one who has turned the fortunes of the San Francisco 49ers, the team with whom Ed won his first Super Bowl ring.

The McCaffrey son, who has been applauded for the stellar season, wouldn’t have done it without the minds of the coaches, Kyle Shanahan and the general manager, John Lynch. And if Christian continues his great form for the years to come, he might soon challenge his dad for the Super Bowl rings.

Ed McCaffrey Parents

Ed McCaffrey parents Edward McCaffrey Sr and Elizabeth McCaffrey were more academically focused than sports.

Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Ed grew up alongside four siblings who unlike their parents made careers in sports. Ed Sr and Elizabeth raised their kids Catholic and though loved sports considered it to be a privilege.

The couple always made academics a priority for their five children and in an interview with The Denver Post, Ed said, he would always be grateful to his father and mother for it.

Making their children focus on academics, Edward and Elizabeth were able to help Ed, and his four siblings realize the responsibility that came along with their gifted skills.

Ed McCaffrey Family

Ed McCaffrey came from a blue collar family and was the catalyst for the McCaffreys to have a career as athletes.

Coming from a blue-collar family, it was hard for Ed to convince his dad and mom to let him play sports, but the talent couldn’t have stayed dormant for too long. Edward Sr and Elizabeth then supported their son and his football journey, which also prompted Es’s siblings to have careers in sports.

If he was the catalyst of his family to become an athlete, things were completely different in his spouse’s family. His better half, Lisa, came from a household that cared a lot about sports.

Ed’s father-in-law Dave Sime won a silver medal in Rome Olympics in 29160 and held several records during the 1950s. His mother-in-law, Betty Sime, is a former swimmer, and his brother-in-law was well-versed in two sports.

So it was not a shocker when Ed and Lisa’s four sons became football players. Max said goodbye to his football career early and has now become a football coach. Their second son is a star NFL player, Christian McCaffrey, and their two younger children, Dylan and Lucas, are forging their careers in football as well.

There’s no hint of doubt that there will be at least one Super Bowl winner among the three McCaffrey kids, and if everything goes as planned, maybe all three of them will one day have their Super Bowl rings like their dad.
