Eric Weddle Wife Chanel Weddle and Kids: Meet The Family

Eric and his gorgeous wife, Chanel Weddle, married in 2005 after dating each other for some years.

Eric and Chanel crossed their paths first at Rancho Cucamonga, California’s Alta Loma High School. They dated for a time before getting married when Eric was 20 years old, just before he finished his junior year. The couple was actively participating in their school’s sports team while studying.

They have been able to maintain one of the purest relationships. Despite being married at the start of his career and being younger than the average age, they are even recognized as one of the most attractive sports couples in the present. Following their marriage, they started to go through a lot in life. Chanel hadn’t finished college, and Eric was at the beginning phase of his profession. A few changes were necessary to ensure that everything ran well.

They relocated to Ogden, Utah, so that Chanel could continue to be close to Utah State University in Logan, where she had played for the Aggies and continued her schooling. She played for the Utah State Aggies in college and held a degree in special education. She encouraged the teaching of challenged children, who are generally not given the attention they require, and helped the students who were having difficulty.

Due to family responsibilities, Chanel stopped doing sports, but she never stopped being at her husband’s side, becoming one of his most important sources of strength and support. The pair is grateful to have each other in their lives and has been blessed with four children. Although the family doesn’t use social media much, several news websites often feature their antics whenever they appear in public.

Eric and his wife, Chanel, are blessed with four kids together. All of them are currently studying in school and hope to become a legend like their dad in the future.

They have a sweet young son named Gaige Weddle and three wonderful girls named Kamri Weddle, Brooklyn Marie Weddle, and Silver Jean Weddle. They all live together in their house in Poway, California. The kids are very close to their parents, and the family always attends important events together. When Eric was active as a player in NFL, he had to stay away from home to fulfill his duties, and during that time, Eric used to drive 100 miles home to see his kids and wife.

When he was a part of the San Diego Chargers in 2015, he wasn’t having a great relationship with the team’s administration and overall behavior towards him. He was even fined once for attending his daughter’s game. In Week 15’s game against the Miami Dolphins, Eric was fined $10,000 by the organization for attending his daughter’s halftime performance.

It was believed that Weddle kept team officials in the dark about his intention to stay on the field for the halftime performance. According to team officials, Weddle was placed on injured reserve and informed he couldn’t go with the team to its last game against the Denver Broncos because the plane was too tiny.

His behavior and activities hint towards him being more devoted and caring towards his family than anything else. He would like to make his children famous athletes like he is right now, but that decision is entirely in their hands. As of now, they are still kids, and with their growing ages, they might follow in their father’s footsteps and establish themself as one of the famous athletes in the country. 

Eric is still married to his wife, Chanel, and they are going strong with their relationship and have entered their 17th year together this year.

Given that the husband-wife duo has known each other since a very early phase of their life, they have a good understanding of each other, and there haven’t been any moments in their life that have tarnished their relationship. They also share the same athletic background, being the most critical players in their college sports squads.

Weddle was selected to three first-team All-Pro teams and three Pro Bowls during his nine seasons with the Chargers. He played with the Baltimore Ravens for the following three seasons, making the Pro Bowl each and increasing his selections to six. After finishing his career with the Los Angeles Rams in 2019, he announced his retirement.

Eric was counted as one of the highest earners in the NFL during his active days. So, his net worth in 2022 is $15 Million.

He showcased brilliant performances on the field, taking his team to many glorious moments. During his 14 years in the league, he earned around $70 Million from three different groups. He primarily represented the San Diego Chargers but played for the Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Los Angeles Ravens.

It was a great blessing for the San Diego Chargers to have a guy like Eric on their team. He came out of retirement to play for the Rams in 2021, and they went on to win the Super Bowl. He is well known for winning the Pro Bowl and earning many All-Pro accolades. Since donning the Chargers uniform, he has been a critical contributor to the team’s success.

The same can be said about the other clubs he represented, including the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Ravens, and Los Angeles Rams, where his return from retirement to win the Super Bowl was simply poetry.
