Frank Reich Brother Joe Reich As Coaching Runs In The Family

Frank Reich’s brother Joe Reich is three years younger than him and was te coach at Wingate University.

Frank began his coaching career in 2006 after joining Indianapolis Colts. He then joined Arizona Cardinals in 2012, San Diego Chargers in 2013, Philadelphia Eagles in 2016, and returned to Colts as the head coach in 2018 until he got fired in 2022.

Likewise, Joe serves as the head coach at Wingate University and trains Wingate Bulldogs football players; he played center for four years at Division III Gettysburg from 1984-87. 

The siblings grew up playing together; they would box, wearing a single boxing glove, with Joe wearing the right one and Frank the left one, as they only had one pair.

They attended the same high school, Cedar Crest High School, but they chose different paths; the older Reich spent 14 years in NFL, whereas the younger pursued a coaching career after graduating from Gettysburg College.

Frank Reich Has A Brother 

The football coach Frank Reich has a brother named Joe Reich, and his profession is the same as his brother’s, i.e., graining the American football players.

The siblings played football before becoming coaches; Frank played 14 seasons in the NFL for Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Detroit Lions.

Likewise, Joe played for Gettysburg as an offensive lineman from 1984-87, and he holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics. Furthermore, both spent their high school career at Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

Joe Reich Is A Football Coach At Wingate University

Reich, the head coach for the Wingate Bulldogs, began his career as Gettysburg College’s assistant coach.

He was also a graduate assistant coach at Georgia Tech, worked under Bobby Ross and Ralph Friedgen, and served as the defensive coordinator at Buffalo, where he coached defensive end, Vinnie Canosa.

Joe spent eight years at Buffalo during Buffalo’s transition from Division I-AA to Division I and joined the Bulldogs in 2000. He got named SAC Coach of the Year in 2004 and is only the fourth head coach in school history.

Furthermore, the all-time winningest coach in WU football history has made many incredible achievements throughout his career; he has set many records and won championships. The head coach won Wingate’s first-ever SAC championship in 2010, and later in 2017, the team won five 2017 SAC statistical championships.

Frank Reich Parents: Meet Frank Reich Sr. and Pat Reich

Frank was born to Frank Reich Sr. and Pat Reich on the 4th of December 1961 in Freeport, New York.

Frank Sr. was an athlete who captained Penn State’s 1955 team and played center for the Nittany Lions as a center and linebacker; the Philadelphia Eagles also selected him in the 1956 NFL Draft, but he did not play in the NFL.

A star player of his time, he never told his children about his achievements for a long time to not pressure them to pursue an athletic career. He was also a technology education teacher and football coach at Lebanon High School and retired in 1992.

However, Frank Jr. and Joe did inherit his love for sports and played baseball and football; the junior Reich wore his dad’s old jersey from the East-West Shrine Game and tossed an old football until he lost them.

The Reich Brothers Followed Their Father’s Footsteps 

Frank Jr. and Joe grew up in Cleona, Pennsylvania, and they followed their dad’s footsteps; the late elder Reich always taught his children life lessons that they still follow.

Despite being an athlete, he never forced his sons to follow his paths, but they naturally loved sports and pursued them; his coaching and teaching genes got passed down to his sons. 

Since Frank Sr. served as a football coach, his children must have gotten influenced by his profession from a young age. Furthermore, although their father is gone, he lives on in the aphorisms his children use now to lead their troops.

The football coaches follow “One shovelful at a time;” Joe teaches his athlete to slow down the process, not doing everything in a single day. 

Frank Reich Family And Children 

Frank is a proud son, brother, husband, and grandfather; he loves spending quality time with his family.

The NFL coach has a gorgeous wife, Linda, and they have given life to three beautiful daughters, Lia Reich, Hannah Reich, and Aviry Reich.

Aviry is a sports counselor/consultant and a mental health advocate who owns Limitless Living Counseling & Consulting, PLLC. Furthermore, she is a former Division I collegiate athlete who attended and played for The University of Maryland.

Likewise, Hannah was into music and stand-up while growing up; she also plays guitar and drums. Furthermore, the siblings are active on social media under the handles @avereich@hannah_reich, and @liareich.

Frank Is A Proud Grandfather

His oldest daughter blessed him with a little angel named Bishop; having a sports and football family, Reich never imagined having grandchildren anytime soon, so he felt exceptional while holding Bishop in his arms.

Furthermore, Lia has a customized set of game outfits for her daughter with ‘Got Juice,’ not because it’s Colt’s slogan but a family slogan for the Reichs. Likewise, Aviry is also a mom, per her IG bio, and Hannah married the love of her life on the 10th of July 2021. 

However, Aviry hasn’t shared anything about her baby on the internet and has maintained a private social media account.
