George Fant wife Chastity Gooch is a former Western Kentucky basketball player from Warren County, Kentucky.
Gooch joined the University of Western Kentucky in 2011 and has played over 27 games in her university career. There she was part of the women’s basketball team, the Lady Toppers.
She was born on May 6, 1933, and is 29 years old in 2022. It is safe to say that she doesn’t lack in the height department standing six feet tall. Her parents are Elaine Gooch and Thomas Gooch.
Gooch’s basketball career is not lacking in any glory; during high school, she led her high school Franklin-Simpson to KHSAA Girls’ Sweet Sixteen Championship game in 2008.
In 2014, she led Lady Toppers to victory by securing a place in the NCAA tournament, and she snagged 26 points during the game against ASU. Similarly, in 2014-105, she was named Conference USA Player of the Year. She secured an honorable mention from WBCA Coaches’ All-American Basketball Team in NCAA Division I.
Gooch achieved all this even though she had two knee surgeries during high school.
Chastity’s Instagram bio reads that she is a mom of three and is a mom by day and hooper by night, suggesting she still plays basketball, though not professionally.
Chastity And George Married Life
George and Chastity started dating after a basketball game at the Western Kentucky University at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Chastity was there with her team at high school for the Sweet Sixteen Championship in 2008.
The pair go way back and are high school sweethearts. While he was in the audience watching Gooch in the court, he magnetically was drawn to his soon-to-be future spouse. Fant said that there was something about Gooch that he liked very much, and it later turned to love.
After being wowed by Gooch, he tried to find her number and text her; luckily for both of them, he got her number through her cousin, with whom Fant shared a mutual friend. Two of them then exchanged a series of texts, resulting in a movie date.
Realizing this could be more than just a high school romance, the New York Jets player took Gooch to meet his parents. It was also when Gooch realized that their relationship was heading in a serious direction. Fant’s mom immediately took upon liking Gooch, who thought the girl her son bought home was gorgeous.
Fant proposed to Gooch on her birthday at Lampkin Park, and Gooch was excited and nervous and could see herself spending the rest of her life with him.
Chastity and an entourage of her kids, are usually spotted supporting George in his games with New York Jets.
George And Chastity Has Three Kids Jayden, Jayce, and Emma
Soon after their wedding in 2015, they gave birth to their first kid, Jayden. He was born on March 2, 2016. Geroge shared sweet pictures of Jay on his 6th birthday and claimed him to be the world’s greatest big brother.
Following the next year, they gave birth to another baby boy, Jayce, born on March 13, 2017. Papa George once again took on Instagram to wish Jayce a happy 5th birthday, along with the caption complimenting him on having the biggest imagination.
March seems to be the “IT” month for the Fant family since all their kids are born in March.
Chastity showed off her baby bump in her Instagram with baby number 3, Emma, in a green drape dress on March 3, 2020, and her caption hinted that she was due in less than a week. Baby Emma was born on 6t March 2020. Wishing her a second birthday, George called her a queen.
Both George and Chastity credit honesty and communication for their long-lasting relationship, just like in basketball. They both have been open about their profound love for their kids, with George saying that everything he does is all about their kids and the smile on their faces. Chastity shares the sentiment that she will be there for her three kids as long as there is breath on her body.
