His father would take him to hockey games from a young age. The athlete watched his first game of the Houston Aeros when he was six, influencing him to pursue an athletic career. Tyler began playing professionally at 19 in 2009 and excelled in basketball and baseball.

Quentin and Tyler are half-brothers from their mother’s side, but they share brotherly love like all siblings and support each other.

After parting with Paul, Tonja started a new life with Marshall Grimes, a former Louisiana Tech point guard, and they welcomed their son just before the ice hockey player moved to Canada with his father. Thus, the brothers don’t live together as one lives in Canada and the other in Texas, but they meet back and forth and communicate.

When she underwent a 30-minute ultrasound, the doctors noticed the little one wasn’t moving inside his mom’s belly. So, she had an emergency C-section, and the baby boy was breathing when he made it to the world.

However, Tristan was in a severe condition as he had a bunch of tubes and didn’t have 80% of blood in his body due to Fetal-maternal hemorrhage. He also had a pulmonary hemorrhage, but the little Myers fought all odds and went home when he was 12 days young, and he is now a healthy 5-year-old living a happy life with his parents.
