On June 01, 2022, Wednesday, a hospital in South Tulsa, Oklahoma, was filled with chaos as a black man of about 35 to 40 years raged inside the hospital with a gun shootout.
Dr. Preston Phillips Muskogee was one of the doctors who lost their lives at the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his three other colleagues.
The convict was identified as a middle-aged black man who specifically targeted Dr. Phillips, as he blamed the doctor for the death of his wife, who lost her life under his care.
When the shooter could not find the person he was looking for, he rampaged inside the hospital, killing random people.
UPDATE: According to the city councilor, the shooter DID have an issue with the “Dr Phillips” but was unable to find him, and that’s when the shooting began.

Who was Dr. Preston Phillips Muskogee?
Dr. Preston Phillips, MD, is a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Orthopedic Surgery Specialist with over 32 years of experience in the medical field.
Dr. Phillips specializes in spinal disorders and surgical procedures.
In 1990, he received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.
He is a part of the Saint Francis Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital South medical facilities.
Preston J. Phillips is one of Tulsa’s few Black doctors, despite the city’s involvement in the 1921 slaughter of Greenwood’s Black citizens and the burning of Tulsa’s sole Black hospital.
How old was Dr. Preston Phillips?
Although the Tulsa Police have not disclosed the identity of the victims, we know that Dr. Preston Phillips was the primary target of the shooter, whose identity is also not revealed yet.
Dr. Preston must have been somewhere in his late 50s or early 60s, based on his long years of experience as a doctor.
His regular patients and well-wishers have expressed their opinions through their Facebook posts saying how great Dr. Preston was and that he was phenomenal. He was a doctor loved by all and a person good at heart.
