Has Warwick Davis Had A Stroke? Illness Type And Health Update 2022 Of ITV Host

Warwick Davis suffers from an extremely rare condition. He has been living with Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenital (SED).

The SED is a rare genetic condition that causes dwarfism. It causes skeletal abnormalities that mostly affect the spine and the long bones of the arms and legs, as well as short height. Often children suffering from the condition may have vision and hearing issues.  

Nevertheless, Davis has always showcased his talent in the entertainment industry. His health condition has never been a barrier to him.

In past, the ITV host has opened up about health problems he faces. In 2015, he spoke with The Guardian:

‘Well, as you get older, it gets worse. Your joints, for a start. My hips are dislocated, so they’re sitting out here. I have very painful knees. I had surgery on my feet when I was very young. There’s a risk of retinal detachment, but I know the signs now.’

‘And then, yeah, you wake up, the alarm goes, it takes a good half hour to get moving, we’re both like, ‘Uggggh.’ Imagine the worst flu you’ve had, every day it’s like that.’

Warwick Davis suffered an unexpected stroke while on vacation in 2019. Back then, he was traveling to the United States.

Fortunately, the actor’s stroke was not severe, and he recovered quickly. His father also experienced a stroke, and a few weeks later, when his condition deteriorated, he passed away, according to Cambridge Independent.

The Reality Titbit had noted that Davis had a strange voice when he debuted on Tenable’s fifth season. His audience noticed the difference right away and started to question whether there was a problem with the host.

Despite several ideas and suppositions, he never openly admitted to having a disease. Information on the actor’s stroke is difficult to find online because he has kept the medical problem a secret.

However, Davis has been an advocate for the attack. He usually shares health information on his social media to inform other people.
