A 15-month layoff for Jayson due to a catastrophic knee injury and a failed first comeback was only terminated by the surgical insertion of a ligament from his hamstring into his injured knee under the careful care of his mother.

At Brighton, Jayson advanced through the youth ranks before receiving his first team start.
Although Molumby made another appearance in the EFL Cup match against Bournemouth, his first team opportunities with the Premier League squad were restricted, therefore Molumby was loaned to Millwall last year.
The Waterford native was a standout in the Lions’ midfield as they finished ninth and almost missed the Championship play-offs.

For the first time, Molumby was selected for the Republic of Ireland senior team for the UEFA Nations League matches against Bulgaria and Finland.
