Kurtis Colamonico, an American skateboarder, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022. He was a well-known promoter of the sport.

Colamonico was known for his famous All I Need Skate podcast. He was a popular face at the El Dorado skatepark, where he performed tricks and trained many kids.

Skateboarding Star Kurtis Colamonico Died At Age 33

Kurtis Colamonico died at a very young age of 33 years. His death news has been confirmed on Facebook and Twitter platforms.

Many of Colamonico’s admirers have posted long tributes to the skateboarder. They have expressed their condolences to his family members. The first to confirm the sad news was Kurtis’ fellow skateboarder friend, KevinROMAR, who wrote on Twitter:

‘This one hurts, I was just on the phone with ya too man damn – RIP to a genuine human and one hell of a skater #KurtisColamonico’

Upon hearing the news, @ItsLuRocK tweeted: ‘ RIP to the homie Kurtis Colamonico. We had nothing but positive interactions when our paths crossed. Man loved his son so much. Good dude. Sad news to find out today.’

Similarly, on Facebook, Kurtis’ friend and co-skateboarder, Henry Bletsch has expressed his heartbreak. He has written: ‘R.I.P Kurtis Colamonico. Thanks for the inspiration over the years.’

What Happened To Kurtis Colamonico? Death Cause

Kurtis Colamonico died from unspecified causes. No formal comment about his passing has been made by his family. 

Meanwhile, fans have suspected that Colamonico died from a stroke or an accident. Until further notice, we are unable to specify anything about his death.

Colamonico was very close to his kids, who loved skateboarding. He has inspired so many youngsters; some of them have also participated in many international tournaments.

Who Is Kurtis Colamonico? 

Colamonico was born in the year 1989. He considered Skateboarding as his life and was prominent in the sports for the last 25 years. 

Young Colamonico was inspired by his grandmother’s neighbors to participate in sports. It was then that his grandma gifted him with a Josh Casper Blind skateboard.  He considered Christian Hosoi, Daewon Song, Andrew Reynolds, Chad Fernandez, and Geoff Rally, as his inspirations. Moreover, his favorite skateboarding video is  ‘Trilogy’.

According to Skate Kids, Colamonico was sponsored by Hosoi Skateboards, Diamond Supply Co, Furnace Skate shop, Adidas flow, Grizzly Griptape, Bones Bearings, Skate Kids, Keen Ramps, and S-One Helmets.

Colamonico rode a skateboard of Size 8, with 149 trucks and 50mm wheels. His favorite trick was Backside tailslide and 360 flips.
