Bob Fulton was chosen by the magazine Rugby League Week in 1981 as one of the first four post-war “Immortals” of the Australian game, together with Churchill, Raper, and Gasnier.

In 1985, he was also honored with a spot in the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
