He played his final game against Balmain in Round 7 of the 1999 season, after seven seasons and only 49 games in the NSWRL.

Scott was not chosen for the first team or the reserves when Bob Fulton resigned, and he never again participated in a Manly game. He later participated in the Castlereagh Cup for the Coonamble Bears.
