Ripudaman Singh Malik, a businessman from VANCOUVER who had been exonerated in the 1985 Air India bombing case in 2005, was fatally assassinated Thursday morning in Surrey.

According to sources, Malik may have been singled out because, according to the Indian Hindustan Times newspaper, on January 18, he allegedly wrote a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing his deep heartfelt gratitude for the government’s unprecedented positive steps taken for the Sikh community.

According to a press statement from the Surrey RCMP, they responded to a report of gunfire on Thursday at 9:26 a.m. in the 8200-block of 128 Street. Police discovered a man with gunshot wounds.

Ripudaman Singh Malik, a prominent businessman and Sikh leader in Canada, was fatally shot Thursday morning in Surrey. In the 1985 Air India bombing case, Malik was exonerated in 2005.

Around 10:10 a.m., the Surrey RCMP informed The VOICE. they declined to provide any details, saying instead that a press release would be sent in 30 minutes.

Malik oversaw Khalsa schools in Canada and was found not guilty in 2005 of the 1985 bombing of the Air India Kanishka.

In addition to the Vancouver Education Board curriculum, Punjabi language and culture are taught at the Khalsa school. Students who study the Sikh religion, especially kirtan, over the summer break.

Assisting cops first gave the victim assistance until emergency medical services took over his treatment.

According to his relatives, Ripudaman Singh Malik, exonerated in the 1985 Air India terrorist bombing, was shot and died.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, the RCMP were summoned to a location in Surrey, British Columbia, due to reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered a male who had been shot.

In 2005, charges of mass murder and conspiracy relating to the two Air India bombings that left 331 people dead, predominantly residents of the Toronto and Vancouver areas, were dropped against Malik and his co-accused, Ajaib Singh Bagri.

The attack included two attempted plane bombings and was a component of a broader international terrorist scheme. Air India Flight 301, due to depart from Japan, was to carry the first bomb, but it exploded before it could be placed into the aircraft. The second bomb was successfully installed aboard Air India Flight 182 in Canada.

Investigation Of Ripudaman Singh Malik Shooting On Early Stage

The suspects are still being sought by police and a possible getaway vehicle since they believe the shooting was planned. The inquiry into the shooting of Ripudaman Singh Malik is still in its early stages.
