Ryan Fry Wife Jessica Szabo Works In the Sports Industry And Represents Curling Athletes

Ryan Fry wife Jessica Szabo is an entrepreneur and account director of the Canadian Football League. 

A native of Alberta, Canada, Jessica was born in a household of Star Wars fans. The entrepreneur has previously talked about the love her parents have for the famous franchise and she is also their only child. 

One look at her Linkedin profile is enough for you to know that Jessica is a high achiever. Her CV includes working with organizations such as NASCAR, CFL, and TSN Curling.

In her early days, Szabo was a judoka player and has always held a keen interest in various sports since a young age. Maybe this became a connection line for her and her partner. 

In 2013, she graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in sociology and psychology and also earned her new media design certificate. She shared the picture of her special day on her Instagram handle and captioned the post, “Holler at a scholar.”

Then began her journey in the sports world as she became part of the Canadian Sports Network, TSN. At the sports network, her first work was for NBA Canada.

Jessica also worked in the NASCAR coverage and soon started working in the TSN Curling team in 2015. The year also marked the first time she crossed paths with her current partner.

After working with TSN and gaining priceless experiences, she decided it was time to move on, and went on to work for Canadian Football League from 2015 to 2017.

Ambitious and always looking to improve herself, Szabo then decided to dabble in the marketing side of the world. She joined Telus, the telecommunication company in Canada, as a sponsorships marketing. 

In 2019, Jessica returned to the sports world and started working for NBA Canada, and in 2021 she started working for CFL as an account director.

2022 has been extra special for Jessica as she established her management and advertising company named Gravity Management. The company has several star players and teams on its roster.

Team Homan, the women’s curling team coached by Ryan, and Team Mouat, the British curling team, are some of the clients of Gravity Management. Judoka Jessica Klimkait and Emma Miskey are some of the other popular clients of the management company.

Currently, along with working at CFL and running her management company, Jessica is on course to complete her MBA from Dalhousie University.

Ryan Fry and Jessica Szabo relationship began in 2015 when she was at TSN and he was representing Northern Ontario. 

The couple became Instagram official in 2015 as the two attended Blue Jays baseball match together. The curler didn’t take much time to win over Jessica, and one way was being best buddies with Kevin, her french bulldog.

Globe Trotting Couple

Ryan and Jessica started living together in 2016.

The same year, the couple took a fun trip to Costa Rica, where they stayed for 13 days and enjoyed an 800km road trip. They visited Arenal Volcano National Park and Tabacon Hot Springs during their stay in Costa Rica.

The couple seems to be avid globe trotters; after celebrating their second anniversary in 2017, they took a trip to the US State of Hawaii. The two Canadians also love going on hiking trips together and have also taken a trip to Grand Canyon National Park.

On their third anniversary, Jessica shared a romantic picture with her partner and, in the caption, wrote that the two were planning to get married in 2019. Looking at the trend, the couple seems to travel to different places every year to experience different cultures.

And in 2018, they took a trip to Thailand. During their trip to Thailand, their first destination was Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the sacred temple. In a photo uploaded from their trip, the couple seems to be enjoying a fun time with elephants at The Chai Lai Orchid National Park.

Destination Wedding In Jamaica

Ryan and Jessica had a beach wedding in Jamaica in the Spring of 2019.

Looking at the pictures shared by Jessica on her Instagram handle, one thing is clear the couple enjoyed every minute of their beach-themed nuptials. They spoke their vows in Sandals, South Coast, Jamaica, on May 18, 2019.

In recent years, Jessica tends to share pictures of their wedding day on Valentine’s Day, Ryan’s birthday, and their anniversary. The couple, in 2021, adopted another french bulldog, who has now become their main compatriot.

Now her husband has also become part of her business venture. Team Homan, coached by Ryan, is signed to Jessica’s management company, Gravity management.
