Last night at Alexandra Palace, the 26-year-old took on the veteran of the game, Lisa Ashton, in the first round of the Championship. Miekle almost fumbled his place in the second round after Lisa pulled back from a 2-0 deficit.
The Englishman had his better half cheering him on from the crowd and is looking forward to beating the heavy favorite and five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld in the second round.

On October 7, 2021, Millie Root graduated from Chelmsford Cathedral as she completed her studies to become a band 6 midwife. She is 24 years old and celebrates her birthday every year on September 24.

Though it required Millie to lose her sleep and continuously stress herself out, becoming a midwife was something she had always wanted to be and her Twitter checks that out.
Though her partner might be a darts player, she also has interests in other sports, notably soccer. In 2018, she celebrated with her friends as England went through to the quarterfinals. She shared a video from the occasion, but we all know what happened afterward.
And even this year, England couldn’t do much better as France beat them in the quarterfinals. So, for now, only dart is providing her with happiness.

Millie’s mother remarried in 2016 in Mexico, but the midwife continues to have a good relationship with her father. She has two siblings, including an older brother, Josh Root and an older sister, who married in 2013.
As a midwife, there’s no doubt that Root loves kids and from her Twitter account, it is clear that she is the best aunt to her niece and nephews.

Earlier this year, the young couple took a trip to the picturesque southwest coast of the island of Cyprus, Paphos. One of the main highlights of their trip was the visit to the island’s famous beaches.
Millie was present in the crowd cheering for her boyfriend as he beat Nathan Aspinal to enter the quarterfinals of the Hungarian Darts Trophy. Though Ryan crashed out against Nathan Aspinall, it was still a great tournament for him.

Last night, she celebrated as Ryan survived the scare against Lisa Ashton in World Darts Championship. Though he had taken an early 2-0 lead, he almost gave it away as the veteran tried to pull back the game in her favor.
We will most likely see her in the second round of the competition when her beau takes on Raymond van Barneveld.
