Automobile racer Emerson Fittipaldi was married to his wife, Teresa Fittipaldi, for almost eight years. In 2002, they ended their relationship.

Since the divorce, Emerson’s wife has been dating her new boyfriend, Fernando Silva Telles.

Emerson Fittipaldi won the first World Championship for Brazil with Colin Chapman’s Lotus team in 1972. He was also the F1 champion at the time and was the youngest driver. The racer is mainly remembered for riding the iconic type 72 in dark-and-gold JPS livery.

Fittipaldi held the record for 33 years as the F1 world champion who was the youngest ever. His final years in Formula One were unsuccessful because the Fittipaldi cars were not competitive enough to contend for victories. Nevertheless, Fittipaldi won two more championships before calling it quits in 1980.

Fittipaldi was delighted with the technical aspect of the sport. Before winning the Brazilian kart championship, he worked on the karts of Carlos Pace and his older brother Wilson Jr. He also earned success by winning the 1989 CART championship and two Indianapolis races.

In 1995, the automobile racer married his second wife, Teresa Fittipaldi. He also became the father of two children with her.

Emerson Fittipaldi married his wife, Teresa Fittipaldi, in the mid-80s after a few years of dating. They are also parents of two children.

By marrying an automobile racer, Teresa’s life was full of high speed, engine noise, and gasoline smell.

Together the couple spent almost eight years of blissful married life. They often went to movies with their children, Joana and Luca.

As mentioned in a monthly edition of Indianapolis magazine, Emerson picked up the films, but sometimes he led his children to pick the entertainment. They also went Jet Skiing or Zip around the oceans.

Teresa was also very friendly to Emerson’s other son named Jayson, who studied at the art school in Baltimore. She also served as the stepmom to his daughter Tatiana.

According to Teresa, Emerson wanted their son to be a driver as he usually stated Luca loved speed while skiing. Currently, Teresa is among the best-dressed women in Sao Paulo.

After an eleven-year relationship, Fittipaldi wed economist Rossana Fanucchi in early December 2012 in So Paulo. Their children are Vittoria, born in early 2012, and Emerson Jr., born in 2007. 

Emerson Fittipaldi also has a grandson named Enzo Fittipaldi, who races with the Red Bull Junior Team. His grandson competed in the Charouz Racing this year and became sixth in the championship. The youngster tied for points with number four Jack Doohan and number five Jehan Daruvala.

After Emerson Fittipaldi and his wife, Teresa Fittipaldi, divorced, she started a new relationship. It is not known whether they are still together or now.

According to LinkedIn, Telles owns Coinvalores CCVM Ltda, an internationally acclaimed portfolio and financial management company. He also supports Teresa a lot in her business and design work.

Although Teresa is in a relationship, she has decided never to tie the knot again. “Marriage never again,” she decrees.

The possible reason for Teresa and Fittipaldi’s divorce was Emerson’s racing career. Emerson has said that his last two years in Formula One were very unhappy. The racer said: “I was too involved in the problems of trying to make the teamwork, and I neglected my marriage and my personal life.”

Presently, Emerson Fittipaldi is enjoying his life with his current wife, Rossana Fanucchi. 

Fanucchi’s father, who also majored in economics at Mackenzie Presbyterian University and is currently employed for Sportello Participacoes, may have passed on his love of the subject to her. She also has a Brazilian sister named Giovanna Fanucchi, who lives in Sao Paulo.

In 2001, the Brazilian race car racer and the economist began dating. After 12 years, they got married in 2012. They are parents to a son and a daughter. Their daughter Vittoria was born at the beginning of 2012, and their older son Emerson Jr. was born in 2007.

Emerson Jr. has also started as a racer, following in his dad’s footsteps. He placed third overall in the 2021 F4 Danish Championship.

Teresa Fittipaldi is the mother of two grown children, Joana and Luca. She now lives alone in a penthouse in Jardins, Sao Paulo.

Her son Luca lives nearby, and her daughter Joana has spent 12 years in New York.

Today, Teresa sets the pace of her life. She has said: “I still like excitement at times, but I no longer feel the need to always have a schedule, to be invited to everything to feel alive. I learned to appreciate solitude. It is in the void that you find space to create.”

Teresa also has a unique atelier in her home, which sits in a corner. She previously studied the female body’s contours in plates hanging on the wall as examples.

Her current collection consists of seaweed-inspired organic shapes and ball vases that resemble sculptures of dinosaur eggs from which the hatchlings have been ejected in an explosion.

As per the online sources, Teresa has an Italian background. She was born on the 2nd of January 1880 in San Severino, Basilicata, Italy. Her father, Saverio Fittipaldi, was reported to be 48, and her mother, Rosa Ciancio, was in her thirties when she arrived in the world.

Teresa claims that Emerson Fittipaldi is a skilled artist. She decided on ceramics as her artistic medium. She became fascinated with clay as soon as she studied visual arts at FAAP in 2002. Her first works date from that period, and she never ceased creating or attending school.

She learned sculpture from the late Florian Raiss, who passed away in March 2016. She exhorts. “I kept going to courses constantly. Although the class is excellent, nothing beats practice.”

When Teresa was in kindergarten, the teacher called her mom to say that someday she would be a great artist. Teresa remembers her mom fondly. “She jokes about it, but she always remembers this story when she sees a photo of me with my work in a magazine or in a newspaper column.”

“I wake up here in my space, make my breakfast, put on my apron, and start kneading the clay”, she continued “I never know what will turn out, each piece has its secret, which is revealed in the shape, color, and texture. Nothing is ever the same, the pieces are not uniform, and that’s what I like. The whole process has an unpredictability that I like. It’s like life.”
