As mentioned on the BBC, Brown said: “So, setting aside the intense disappointment at not being able to play or train, being forced to spend a week alone was not entirely a bad thing. Secondly, I got a lot of wedding planning done.”

She also stated that she and her longtime boyfriend got engaged in September last year, and following the pandemic, she got to decide her wedding date, save the dates, and choose the ring and food.

Shaunagh Brown is dating her boyfriend, Benji. She recently shared memory with him on her Instagram, where she mentioned missing him. She wrote: “Miss him, miss us,” ending with a heart emoji.

By profession, Benji serves in the military. However, he is also very fond of motorbikes, as seen on his Instagram handle.

Brown was born on March 15, 1990, in London, England. She was raised by a single mother and alongside her siblings.

The rugby star went to the Walnut Tree Walk Primary School and Addey and Stanhope School to complete her junior-level education.

As per siblings, Brown has a brother and a sister. She stated that her family always cared for her and did not worry about cooking, as all her family members could cook.

She has said: “My mom, brother, and sister all cook, so there is always food at house for me – I don’t have to factor in time for that. My world does not stop for rugby in my family, but they are incredibly supportive.”

Brown is also very close to her young nephew and often likes to talk about him. She said: “I got my nephew Tyler to read the squad announcement message when it arrived, and all my family was around me. They all celebrated, except my six-year-old nephew named Zach who was busy playing his video games console and told us to be silent so he could concentrate.”

She continued: “Before Sadia was called up, it would sometimes be lonely when everyone was getting their hair done on game day, and no one felt confident doing my hair.”
