Viktor Hovland (born September 18, 1997) is a professional golfer from Norway who competes on the PGA Tour. By earning the 2020 Puerto Rico Open, he became the first player from Norway to win on the PGA Tour.
By winning the 2021 BMW International Open, Victor also became the very first Norwegian to triumph on the European Tour. Hovland won the Mayakoba Golf Classics, his second and third PGA Tour victories. He also took home the United States Amateur.
Following the 2019 U.S. Open, Hovland turned professional and made his official debut in June at the Travelers Championship. He thus forfeited his automatic entrance into the 2019 Open Championship.
