Dr Satish Poonia died on April 19 in a Punjab road accident. His vehicle collided with a bus and flew into a canal.
Satish and his family tragically died after sinking in the river. A total of seven people lost their life In the accident.
According to authorities, Dr Satish, his wife, child, and a friend were moving through the Bhakra canal when a bus tried to overtake them and crashed into the car.
Due to the collision, their vehicle fell into the canal below Ahmendpuer, and all of them died. Presently, the police are investigating the incident and have seized the bus.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his condolences to the casualties.

Dr Satish Poonia had his wife and two children in his family. The politician was married to Sarita Punia.
The late couple had two children together. They had a 14-year-old son named Daksh and a 2-year-old daughter named Rajvi.
Dr Satish’s family was headed to Himachal Pradesh for a trip. The death of Satish, Daksh, and Sarita has been confirmed but their daughter is still missing.
Furthermore, Satish also has a brother named Om Prakash Poonia. His parents have not been informed about the tragic accident yet.
