Resident Evil’s popular video game and media franchise feature the fictional character Albert Wesker. His character is that of an expert virologist who works with organizations connected to the illicit market for bioweapons. He is frequently referred to as Dr. Albert Wesker.
Albert Wesker has been one of the critical antagonists ever since his character was first introduced in the video game. He typically manipulates the course of events in the game by staying at a distance in aspiration to overthrow humanity through mass extinction and forcible evolution.
Wesker was presumed dead in Resident Evil 5 after he fell into a volcano in a fight with Chris Redfield, another character in the video game. However, Netflix sides with the fact that no one dies so obviously in Resident Evil, not the antagonist at least.

What’s Wrong With Albert Wesker?
Wesker is not just a video game character. He has been reprised into a TV character as well. A mere explanation of what is wrong with the character Albert Wesker is that he was biogenetically programmed to end mankind or start a different breed of humanity.
Wesker was one of the Project W test subjects of the Spencer Foundation. The organization interfered with his functioning with biotechnology and bioengineering and projected a superhuman effect on him.
Wesker was rich in intelligence which he inherited from his brilliant parents. The Spencer Foundation chose him for their project because of his intelligence. Their project aimed to rear a group of brilliant, like-minded intellectuals who could be exposed to a mutant strain of the Progenitor Virus and carry its superhuman effects.

Wesker stood out the most in the aftermath of this project. He even graduated with a doctoral degree in virology at seventeen. However, with the degree, Wesker was up for no good deed. Controlled by Spencer’s programming, he was up for human extinction.

Albert Wesker Died In A Volcano
The video game character of Wesker died in 2009 in the game’s finale after he fell into a volcano, but the TV adaptation of the video game seems to have a different turn. Netflix hinted at the fact that Albert Wesker would resurrect in the TV series version of Resident Evil.
Nonetheless, the virologist is already dead in the video game. As the video game progressed, Wesker succeeded in developing a lethal virus, Uroboros. He intends to use rockets to forcefully blast it into the troposphere. But the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) debunks his plan. The video game’s finale depicts BSAA officers locating the missiles carrying the virus and stopping Wesker’s schemes.
Wesker and BSAA agents battled in a final fight across the volcano. Wesker even injected himself with the virus he created by damaging one of the missiles there. He eventually plunged into the volcano. Following that, the BSAA agents used RPG-7s to set off an explosion that destroyed Wesker when he fell into the lava, ending the battle across the volcano.
Albert Wesker Daughter
Wesker’s clones were made in large numbers before and after his death, one of which gave birth to two daughters, Jade and Billie Wesker.
In the early to mid-2000s, Albert Wesker created three clones to conduct additional research while juggling other obligations. AI, Bert and Alby were the names of the three. AI is the father and creator of Billie and Jade Wesker.

AI’s human genetics experiments led to the birth of Billie in 2008. She and her half-twin Jade were both created through IVF using donor eggs.

Why Did Albert Wesker Inject Himself?
It was discovered in Resident Evil episode 7 that the Albert Wesker (AI) that audiences were familiar with was actually a clone of the original Albert Wesker. Moreover, it was also revealed that he used to inject himself with the blood of his genetically engineered daughters, Jade and Billie, to avoid the health adversities that came as a clone.
Since Albert was a clone, he aged quickly. In addition to many other unpleasant issues and difficulties, the rapid cell proliferation due to rapid aging made him vulnerable to cancer. He frequently became ill and weak, and when that happened, he gave himself injections of the blood of Jade and Billie.
