Haynes worked for CBS3 from 1965 until 1999, when she retired. She spoke with Martin Luther King Jr., former President Lyndon B. Johnson, and former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis during her career. She also spoke with several mayors of Philadelphia and governors of Pennsylvania.
