Adrian Lewis Wife Sarah Podmore And His Beautiful Family Of Four

Adrian Lewis wife Sarah Podmore was his fan before she tied the knot with him in 2012. 

Born on May 4, 1987, Sarah is currently 35 years old. She is two years younger than her husband and was raised alongside her brother, Rob Podmore.

Before meeting the dart champion, Sarah was married to a factory worker named Mark Welch, with whom she shares three children. The couple had known each other since their teenage years, but soon the relationship started forming holes as his spouse started to hang out with Sarah Foster.

Sarah Foster is the sister of Adrian Lewis, and it is through her that Podmore got the chance to meet her current husband and life partner. Lewis would say that Sarah added the much-needed spark to his life as his relationship with his then-partner Katie-Adele Hughes started turning sour. 

As Lewis won his first PDC Title in 2011, he announced that he was going separate ways with Katie. Later that year, Adrian popped the big question to Sarah as the two got engaged.

After successfully defending his title in 2012, the dart champion announced he was looking to settle down with Sarah as he was now financially secure. 

Sarah’s husband Mark Welch was the first to criticize the dart champions for his comments as he vowed to lengthen the divorce settlement with Sarah as much as he could, but it didn’t quite happen.

Adrian and Sarah tied the knot on August 6, 2012, at a beautiful ceremony held at Peckforton Castle, and are now parents to two children.

Earlier this year, in an interview with Orche 180 darts, the European Championship winner said it’s been challenging for him to focus on his game due to extended stays at the hospital for his partner Sarah.

There were talks about Adrian’s form plummeting for a long time, but the dart maestro never said anything about his spouse’s ongoing battle before the interview.

More than the patient, it’s the caregivers, who have a hard time dealing mentally, and with frequent hospital stays, it’s no wonder that Lewis has not been able to focus on his game.

In recent years, Adrian has also tried to focus on his health. In 2021, he revealed to The Sun that he had quit drinking and was following boxing legend Tyson Fury’s lockdown workouts. 

His weight, which had ballooned over the years, has been seemingly coming down as he knackered himself by working out every day of the week. Adrian will also be hoping that with an upturn in his physical fitness, there will also be an upturn in form.

Lewis’s ranking has fallen since 2016, and with the doctors saying that Sarah’s condition might see her visiting hospitals much more frequently, he would hope that he could at least sort out his professional life.

Sarah shares three children with her former partner Mark Walsh.

She shares two sons, Jay and Ryan, and a daughter, Hollie-Mae, with Walsh.

The duo had a public fallout in 2012 after Adrian announced that he would marry Sarah, with Walsh threatening to extend their divorce lawsuit. The kids currently live with Sarah and Adrian. 

Sarah’s first child, Jay was born on July 3, 2003, and is currently 19 years old. In 2014, Adrian shared a photo of Jay wearing the jersey of Stoke City with the goalkeeper’s gloves.

Adrian had tweeted the photo to the former Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic saying that Jay is his no.1 fan. 

Her second son, Ryan, was born on July 25, 2005, and is currently 17. Her youngest child with Mathew, Hollie-Mae, was born on October 31, 2008, and is currently 14.

Adrian has one daughter named Myla Niamh Lewis who was born in August 2009.

Myla was only two years old when Adrian separated from her mother, Katie-Adele Hughes. The separation came four days after Lewis was crowned PDC World Champion in January 2011.

On December 1, 2012, the dart champion took to his Twitter account to announce the birth of his son, Matthew, and thanked everyone for the lovely messages. 

2012 was also the year Sarah and Adrian tied the knot. Five years later, in 2017, the couple announced the birth of their second child, Amelia Lewis. 

He took to Twitter once again for the announcement in 2017. The news came after Adrian made his return to competitive darts after he had taken leave due to health problems
