Chris and Jessica married on November 19, 2017. The cheeky player wrote his number on a ball and had the ball boy drop it off to Jessica in 2013. That one meeting changed the course of their lives, which has now led them to a blissful married life of five years with one baby girl and another on the way.
Jessica Bassitt is a graduate of East Carolina University and earned her bachelor’s degree in science and family and community services in 2012. The better half of Chris Bassitt is a self-employed certified health coach.
Jessica also works for the healthcare company Plexus Worldwide as their ambassador, a position she has held for seven years. She has also worked as a corporate sales trainer for the vehicle insurance company, Preferred Warranties.
One of the earliest tributes the baseball player gave to this better half was on their five-month anniversary on January 22, 2014. He shared the photo of Jessica attending one of his games when he was the player for Birmingham Barons.
From then till now, hundreds of posts have been shared between the two lovebirds about their relationship. The two do not only share an interest in baseball but also love to fish. The baseball player gushed in an Instagram post about his partner’s fishing skills but said she still had a long way to go before she beats him.
On her Instagram handle, Jessica tries to promote a healthy lifestyle and has previously shared recipes on her Instagram stories which are present in highlights.
Chris And Jessica Bassitt Are Expecting Their Second Child
Chris and Jessica Bassitt are expecting their second child in the summer of 2023.
On December 5, 2022, the brunette took to her Instagram handle to share the news with her friends as her daughter Landry held the sonogram pictures while being carried by her parents.
Landry, who will soon be a big sister, was born on September 4, 2019, and is the darling of her father. On January 27, 2022, Chris shared the post of Landry handing him over the ball as the father-daughter duo played baseball.
The former Mets player captioned the post, “Girl whenever you want to “play baseball”, I’ll be there. Be humble. Be grateful. Enjoy the moments.”
Landry came into the lives of Chris and Jessica two years after their marriage. The couple tied the knot on November 19, 2017, and were engaged a year before their wedding ceremony.
On September 26, 2016, Jessica took to her Instagram handle to share the news of her engagement with the athlete as she showed her beautiful diamond ring. Jessica captioned the post, “He asked, I said YES!”
The proposal took place at the Napa Valley Castle Winery, Castello di Amorosa, which took Jessica by surprise at how well planned it was as Chris had always been a guy with the life motto, “We’ll figure it out.”
But even before the baseball couple could become parents to Landry, they had already learned some parenting skills while looking after their pet Golden Retriever, Ansel. Ansel was a birthday gift to Jessica by Chris in 2015.
Ansel is a big part of the Bassitt household and has been present on every important occasion, whether it was during Chris and Jessica’s wedding or the first family photo with Landry.
