Dexter Lawrence Girlfriend Donna McCain Is A Chef For Athletes

Dexter Lawrence girlfriend Donna McCain is the owner and Executive Chef at Elite Performance Cuisine.

Donna officially announced her relationship with Dexter on February 16, 2022, when she posted an Instagram reel with clips from different vacations taken by the couple. She captioned it, “life with my bestfriend is a dream.” However, Dexter first appeared on her feed on March 29, 2020.

On February 2022, Dexter and Donna went to Hawaii as her wedding date. While there, they enjoyed fine dining in front of the ocean, watched a stunt performance of a guy spinning fire on a stick as he danced, and walked in the evening.

Since then, Donna has been posting pictures of the two of them occasionally. On Halloween 2022, they dressed up as a stylish king and his queen, which is fitting because “queen” seems to be Dexter’s nickname for his girlfriend.  The couple spent 2022 Christmas together and decorated the tree with ornaments as their dogs sulked in the background. 

She holds a degree in culinary nutrition from Johnson & Wales University.

Donna’s company Elite Performance Cuisine, LLC, is based in Manvel, Texas. The company, incorporated in 2019, specializes in preparing meals for professional athletes. On March of 2020, Donna posted a picture after preparing meals for Dexter, Raiders linebacker Clelin Ferrell, and Miami Dolphins defensive end Christian Wilkins. 

Going through Donna’s Instagram feed, we can tell that she loves cooking, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her friends and family( which includes her dogs Reese Bear and Dexter Lawrence II).

Dexter has also posted stories with his partner, mostly pictures of their vacation to the Turks and Caicos Islands in November of 2021. When it comes to his personal life, Dexter likes to keep a low profile. While he did post stories with his girlfriend, he never mentioned her name or Instagram handle, leaving fans to speculate about the identity of the mystery woman. Dexter Lawrence was dating Mary Kathryn Bonamy from Alabama before he got into a relationship with Donna McCain. 

Dexter and Mary Kathryn were together in 2018. Though the couple never disclosed their breakup with their fans, they have an amicable relationship and still follow each other on Instagram. One of the few remaining pieces of evidence online that Dexter and MK were ever together is a tweet by Dexter on Valentine’s day of 2018.

The two were both students at Clemson University. They knew each other long before she transferred to Clemson from Notre Dame to play softball in 2019. Considering they are both athletes, it makes sense they would cross paths with each other and find common grounds to fall in love.

Mary Kathryn was born on March 28, 1997, to parents David and Jennifer Bonamy. She grew up with brother John David and sister Josie in Birmingham, Alabama. Sports have always been a part of the Bonamy family. Her father, David, was a letterwinner for the University of Alabama football team. Mary has a masters in athletic leadership. 

Mary Kathryn went to Spain Park High School, where she was a 6-time letter winner. She was a natural at the sport since a young age, leading her high school team to a fifth-place finish at the 6A level in Alabama. MK was Spain Park’s most valuable and offensive player of the year. In 2014, she was honored with the “2014 Shelby County Softball Player of the Year” award. 

After graduating high school, Mary Kathryn joined the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a scholarship to play Division I softball. She pursued a double degree in management consulting as well as film, television and theater.

While Mary Kathryn liked softball, she had always intended to stop pursuing the sport after college. “I knew that softball would take me to college and pay for my college. I wanted softball to pay for a degree that would help me for the next 40, 50 years of my life.”

In her sophomore year, a homesick MK had to get three surgeries, making her eligible for a medical redshirt. Just after the surgeries, Clemson University, which was always her priority, announced that they were introducing a softball program.

The timing was perfect for Mary Kathryn, and after graduating from Notre Dame, she joined Clemson in 2020, where her godfather Dabo Swinney is the head coach of the football team. Being just four hours away from family rather than ten was also a bonus. 

After graduating from Clemson, Mary Kathryn started working for her dad, a franchise owner of Arthur Rutenberg Homes in her hometown of Birmingham. Since July 2021, she has also started working as a realtor for eXp Realty. 

Donna McCain is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a masters degree in human nutrition. 

In 2012, Donna went to the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health where she took voluntary courses on public health, epidemiology, and health disparities & cultural competence. 

Dexter’s partner enrolled at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island for her undergraduate after high school. She graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of science in culinary nutrition.

Donna’s mind was set on pursuing a career that involved cooking and food. That is why, after her undergraduate studies, she went back to school. This time to the University of Alabama to get a master’s degree in human nutrition. She completed graduate school in 2016. 

Since completing her academic journey, Donna has had tons of experience in the culinary world. She was a performance chef at the University of Alabama a year after graduating from the school. 

After her time at UA, she joined Clemson University as the executive performance chef. Perhaps that is when she first met her current boyfriend. Since starting her own business in 2019, Donna has been a self-employed personal chef for professional athletes for nearly four years. 

While not much information is available on the personal lives of Dexter Lawrence II or Donna McCain, we can tell that the couple is happy with their careers and each other.
