According to a resident, the incident occurred at the Woodcrest at Fairfield Adult Residential Neighborhood on Greenbrook Road, a 55 and older community with a majority of seniors.

An 84-year-old man named Frank Forte appears to have stabbed his 83-year-old wife, Catherine Forte, before stabbing himself.
It took place in one of the apartment buildings at the Woodcrest at Fairfield complex in Fairfield, Connecticut, on Greenbrook Road.
Police are looking into an alleged murder-suicide that happened Friday morning at an adult community in New Jersey and claimed the lives of a married couple in their 80s.
According to reports, a live-in home health aide heard a sound in the kitchen, then observed Frank Forte yelling before entering Catherine Forte’s room.
Catherine Forte ran to the neighbor, knocking on the door and yelling, “He’s trying to kill her.”
Some locals say that the incident was obviously unusual, adding that the neighborhood is exceptional.
According to reports, another person inside the house was a live-in help but escaped without any physical harm.

Frank Forte suffered self-inflicted stab wounds to his stomach, while Catherine Forte was found with stab wounds to the chest.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has opened an inquiry into the murder-suicide of Catherine and Frank.
Someone inside one of the “Woodcrest at Fairfield complex” apartments called 911 shortly before 7:30 a.m. and immediately reported to authorities that a guy was stabbing a woman with a knife.
When the police arrived, they discovered two elderly victims who had been stabbed.
Catherine Forte and Frank Forte were taken to the hospital, where they were later declared dead. At the location, a knife was found.
